I love that all that is required to get into the Choir is a good voice. I see children of a wide range of ages, of different sizes, and the sound is beautiful!

" After a child has been accepted into the choir, he or she pays a $30 monthly fee and is permitted to stay in the choir until turning 18. " So yeah a good voice, and a little extra money too. :p So maybe there's somewhere a fantastic young singer with a poor family we will never hear. :(

Not too bad to be in a fabulous group and be taught cooperation, teamwork, music show choir, entertain others and make lasting friendships. :-) There are fantastic young singers all over the U.S who don't live within the range to join this Utah based choir. (There is a part of OVCC in other parts of the world.) Many have KZbin channels such as The Crosbys (Claire Crosby). Why be a downer and post about "young singer from poor family"??? If a "poor family" wants their child in a choir or THIS choir, they'll find a way to make it happen like other "poor" families who have sacrificed much to help their children succeed. It's DRIVE that matters not wealth.
