I have 2900 miles on my pint now over 2 years. changed my tire first time at 2750. Can attest to its durability and toughness, is my main transport to the gym and any short outing. I much prefer my treaded tire, as I no longer worry going on slick trails or on street w/mud on it. Absolute blast. good review
@dark12ain3 жыл бұрын
So my question before I buy one, did you change your tire because it needed to be changed? Or was you just doing it just because. And also does the tires or the tread on the tire, does it deteriorate quickly or can you just keep one tire the entire time you have a one wheel. Not including running over nails or glass, I’m talking like riding pretty clear oaths without much debris

I've had my Pint for about 1 month now. So very much love it. Think I've put on nearly 100 miles now. It is my mode of transportation to the gym every morning. So fun. I'll also mention that I've never skateboarded, never snowboarded, and never tried an electric scooter. Thanks for the review.

By far the best review and explanation of the OneWheel Pint to date. I have had mine for just over a month with 200+ miles, I agree with everything that you said and boy oh boy would it be amazing to have removable batteries! The front light and weight are prime issues, but it is still amazing. Great video!

You’re able to replace the battery, but it does void the warranty. I upgraded to the Quart battery a few months ago, and it was the best decision I’ve made. I get around 15-17 miles on a charge.

So glad to see right to repair support mentioned at the end-ish of the video, and a wonderful 1 year review that does get into the negatives of Future Motion as a company yet keeps it brief and easy to digest. I ride a pint and love it as well although have not had it vary long yet, however I would agree with you summery completely. I am of the belief though that the price in not that extreme especially for the pint due to like you said it being designed and assembled in the USA, but I do think that now that the pint has been out for a while that asking twice as much for the XR is a bit much. Regardless, great video review!

It's a valid concern. The one counter to that though is that they're truly well built machines. Very few failures in the wild. Especially with the newer versions.

I love my pint, haven’t had it long but I find it too squirrely to ride at top speed and I don’t think it can be a daily commuter for that reason which is what I hoped it would be. Agree with everything else you said. Informative and useful content. Thank you.

Solid review, honest and straightforward. Love that you mentioned right to repair as an issue because I know it definitely wasn't on my radar when I got my board. If I could give one suggestion maybe try and look up exact numbers in advance like the price and the top speed. For example the top speed of the Pint is actually stated to be 16 mph, and I think the actual price is $950 without accessories and stuff. Having those exact numbers right off the top of your head would add a little bit to the credibility. Not really an issue though because you showed the exact price up on screen right afterward. Anyway good video keep it up dude.

Agree with everything you said, nice analysis! Price is a bit high but it's marketed as a unique and fun product for middle-class mid-thirties, so... Also come and see the European prices... 2200€ for the XR... Comparable to a pretty decent ebike.

I think I put 400 miles in 4 months. My somewhat ugly contribution is, I got bored with it pretty fast. I'm 62 and once I learned how to ride really well, the next step was to start jumping things and dropping off curbs, and my knees aren't going to do that and like it. My back and left knee started hurting a lot too, being twisted that way was not good. I got an electric unicycle and I hardly ever ride the Pint anymore. You can do a lot more with them. I'm not bad mouthing the Onewheel, it was fun and a stepping stone to the unicycle, but it's pretty much an expensive toy, where the uni is legitimate transportation.

Right to repair has to be a national fix. Tesla, apple, etc need to warranty boards regardless of modification unrelated to the non-interacting part issue. Magnuson-Moss Warrsnty act of 1975 is case law effectively.

Good work on the review. I concur with the right to repair stuff.... thats freeking stupid .... especially as I live in the UK.... do they expect me to ship the whole thing back to California for any tiny problem? I haven't checked to see if you own an XR or not, but how do you feel they compare when the pint has a quart battery upgrade?
@downstateradv3 жыл бұрын
Obviously it range wise the pint with a quart battery is going to be very similar to an xr. I think the big difference is still in the frame and tire. The pint is just far more nimble and maneuverable in my opinion and more fun to carve at least for me. That's not too really say much negative about the XR though. The XR is an awesome machine just a bit bigger with a wider flatter tire. That's why a lot of people swap the tire to the narrower pint size tire on their xrs. Overall though they're both quite similar besides the range.
