The main drawback of the pint for me is range, range anxiety sucked on v1 and plus, especially when offroad or in cold temperatures or in an aggressive riding mode. 8 miles becomes 5, not cool constantly glancing at your predicted range all the time. But not only actual range, the range you get before the board has less power available, down to the level when pushing the limits of the board becomes more dangerous, is restrictive on earlier onewheels and the pint. There's clearly improvements with the pint, in body design, improved water resistance and upgraded firmware. But I'd defo recommend looking at a used XR from the community before buying a new pint. The onewheel warranty is so restricted it's barely worth it, and you'll wait weeks to send it in to be fixed anyway if you had an issue. Apart from a bad batch of battery cells in 4208 XRs, the track record of onewheel reliability is pretty good. I'd go for a used XR with low miles and a tyre change, the stock vega tyre is garbage. And maybe with some other accessories, which you'll want to buy anyway, they aren't easy to get and aren't cheap. But if you opt for a pint it's a great board, and the stock tyre is actually pretty decent imo ~~ =o=

Off-road uses more power on the board so the XR would be the way to go! I'm finally a onewheeler. Just got a V1 with 0 miles on it. My legs are like butter after 6 miles or so. Have gotten 9 on a charge but thinking about a ego Sonny wheels PnR mod what do you think?, To get the xr range.?

Welcome to the Onewheel community buddy. Personally I would get comfortable on the board first before you think about modifying it. A used Xr is always a great option 🤙

Hey i really found your video helpful i just have one question before i make my decision: how well does the onewheel pint handle off road/grass and does the range feel decent enough for a two hour ride?

Harry Thomas, both the pint and Xr are incredible off-road. The Xr and pint get less range when off-road due to the terrain being rough and making the board work harder. Saying that if you want to go off-road for 2 hours the Xr may be the better option as the pint would struggle to last 2+ hours of fast off-road riding. I hope that helps, Luke
