Thanks Terry. A few bugs to work out first and yes I think the Zs will last through the night. LOL

If yours was like mine the cord kept slipping because the tensioners were strung backwards. Untie the knots and install them correctly to tension the underquilt.

Yep they were are done up wrong from factory. I did think it was me that was getting it wrong. LOL Once I brought it back home to have a closer look I changed around the tensioners and re strung the shock cords. All works fine now. And this is why I always go out and test my gear before heading out for an over nighter and depending on my setups. Thanks for dropping by and leaving your comment.

Just bought the 11 foot hammock, under quilt, and tarp, and cover, ( have a quilt all ready to use on me ) just waiting for it in mail next week. Rather excited, going be my late fall hunting camp gear. I have high hopes for this setup. Keep the foot end sightly higher then head end. It definitely helps you hit the sweet spot laying down better. I like mine about 16 inchs off the ground, then i can use it as a seat for those long nights sitting around reading.

I think for what you get vs cost is great. The quality is very good as well. I also bought the Hot Tent Tarp, man you can use this setup all year round even with a small wood stove to keep the morning dampness away.

Looks like a great setup. I should get something like that. I’ve never tried a hammock before as well. 👍👍

Thanks Don. Yeah after a few nights sleeping on the ground my bones start complaining. LOL So I figured that this winter I'd give a hammock a go.

Thanks Stacy. I'm liking this setup so far. If it keeps me comfortable at -30* it's a win, win. LOL

lol 15 minutes later.... love it! Great setup, very similar to what I have ordered. Am keen to see the XL Topquilt used as a poncho, I believe it comes in two parts for different setups? Unlike the smaller versions, which come as one piece.
@danielcharbonneau222Ай бұрын
LOL it wasn't as easy as I thought it would of been to set up. I do like everything, very well made. The XL top quilt I've not tried as a poncho, I'm sure it would work just fine. Yes it is in two pieces.

@@danielcharbonneau222 I have been watching ALOT of videos to "learn the ropes" so too speak. And you made it look like you've been doing it for years. So hats off to you. I have seen a couple of people on KZbin claiming they have been hammocking for years, and I see them making all the newb mistakes lol. Where as, you made none of the newb mistakes. Once my gear arrives. it will also be my first time sleeping in a hammock :). On another note, I noticed you have a DAS King pedal Kayak. Is your Kayak the Nautilus? I have also been looking into Kayaks for years, but never purchased due to long term injuries that were healing. So still looking and learning about kayaking also. Will be my first time kayaking, so like you, I am hoping I my balance will surfice! Also would be keen to know what hammock / camp pillow you settle on, if you get one. Cheers Daniel.

@@KiwiBushcraftAndSurvival Thank you very much. And yes my DAS King pedal Kayak is the Nautilus. I also have the 36lb thrust electric motor for it. www.das-king.com/product/nautilus/ Man I hope you enjoy your hammocking experience. Again thank you for your positive comment, take care.
