Thanks! Great review. I am still not convinced with handheld devices yet. I got the Legion Go and returned it back after a week.The concept is amazing, but I'm still not happy with performance. I am considering gaming tablets such as Asus Flow for gaming on the go.

I play on 17 watts on my RoG ally x and battery doesn’t last too long. 65 watts with the hx 370 will drain it a lot. You will need it plugged while playing.

Unfortunately, some companies think making the best of the best is a way to go. the companies like Valve and Nintendo know how to make an affordable handled console for everyone to enjoy, unlike these companies who make their console mostly for rich people.

@@brokensword2621 they are honestly pretty affordable in comparison to a full fledged PC build. I'm not rich by any means and these run at a fraction of the cost of my GPU alone, then you have to factor in the cost of the monitor and peripherals. Companies like this are awesome for building something thats affordable enough to get people into the PC gaming world with an all in one system without breaking the bank! Had they had something like this on the market when I was building my PC... Well I'd have never built a PC 😅

UMPCs are improving fast every generation, which is 1 year per gen in Windows gaming vs 7 years in the console world. The Switch took 8 years for a next-gen successor and there will be no 'Steam Deck 2' in the foreseeable future according to Griffais; industry sources say Valve too is currently focusing on successfully migrating the SteamOS to these third-party UMPC handhelds as an officially supported operating system that will replace Windows (which has a side effect of further limiting Epic Games and GoG accessibility in the handheld market, which would make sense for them). Hardware performance-wise, if AMD can be trusted the Strix Point (the APU in this video)'s successor, the Strix Halo, will deliver GPU performance reportedly comparable to the RTX 4070M of previous gen's gaming laptops, which is slightly less powerful than the $700 PS5 Pro (that is comparable to desktop 4070). The APU itself is already developed and there were reviewers video of it on KZbin since a month ago, we just have to wait for third-party manufacturers to develop new PCs and handhelds out of it later this year. Strix Halo mini PCs which are also hand sized but cheaper than dedicated handhelds will be released a few months earlier than them that will allow us to get real world data on Strix Halo's gaming performance probably this summer. With the advertised performance of the Strix Halo APU, you can play, not all, but many triple A games at highest settings on 1080p of most gaming handheld OLED screens. Some games that are notorious for pushing the performance limit of gaming machines will probably have something like 30-40 low fps natively on a 4070-adjacent, but such games usually also come with built-in super resolution-frame gen technology like Cyberpunk 2077, which the improved AI of next-gen GPU/APUs can make full use of. But the most important purpose of these devices is that, unlike a full PC or a PS5 Pro, they (at least eventually) allow you to play high-end games anywhere you go whether you are a travelling businessman, a McDonalds clerk or an overworked university labrat during your free time, regardless of location. There are markets for triple A game consumers like Black Ops 6 who due to real life constraints can't afford the time to plop down on a sofa or in front of a computer just to play some games for only ten or twenty minutes, but still want to play the most popular and graphically demanding games in the industry. There are systems like Steam Deck, yes, but it's increasingly unable to play most triple A games from the previous gen at enjoyable framerate. What about the next-gen then? So more powerful handhelds like these are being developed and attracting collaboration from Steam for dedicated gaming OS with official support.

The only gripe I had with this device was the small battery. I dont know why they couldnt make it a little wider or a little thicker and add in a bigger battery. The Ally X did it (my favouote device right now for this fact). Pointless putting in that new chip with last gen battery capacity. Any new handheld that comes out now either has to be really power efficient and / or come with a bigger battery.

Obviously this devices should be way cheaper than a gaming laptop, for exapme i can get an rtx 4070 laptop for 800-900 brand new, obviously it cost more in production than any of handhelds, but they want you to pay 1000$+ for a performance of 400$ laptop lol, i will never support this stupity lol

Playing over 60 is well and fair enough on these devices and the price isn’t even that bad in terms of a full computer in the palm of your hand. I could easily say “why not buy a laptop at that price?” And then say to that “why not buy a desktop instead of the laptop at that price?” It’s not about price and what you COULD’VE gotten instead smart guy, it’s the fact they want a powerful handheld and something in the handheld space. If anyone wanted desktop and laptop suggestions they would’ve asked😂 more importantly most of the older games are funner than the slop that’s released now so what AAA games besides wukong and COD are you trying to play😂😂
