@@staffofthebobcat7659 oh my god thank you lol, i agree, i loved robot chicken during season 1 and 2 when i was young but now i change what im doing when it comes on. aqua teen gets better with age imo, im catching all the smart commentaries and references, the writing is honestly underrated as hell and i think this might be key. i think we solved this. aqua teen probably doesnt pull in children the way robot chicken does, so that cut the views and mike only saw the numbers and the $$. thats my theory at least.

I went back to look at the background from Puppy Love on SNES and Genesis EWJ2. It's more 3D than the Sega Saturn's "3D" background. It had clever line scrolling tricks which made the houses at either end maintain correct perspective lines relative to the horizon as you moved left and right. It had a line scrolling ground plane. How is that less 3D than slapping 3 parallax scrolling layers of 90s CGI trapper keeper cover tier volcanoes behind 2 houses which are just a flat foreground layer with no perspective shifting? What a baffling decision
