Chris has many times admitted that he likes Nostalgia Critic despite the fact that he finds him cringy at times. I wouldn't call Video Games a bad song. It's pretty basic and forgettable by Tenacious D's standards, but not bad. I can understand being turned off by the lyrics, though. Jack Black is 54 years old, so him trying to relate to the youth by making a song about modern video games can come off as pandering to reach a younger audience.
