​@FreddyKruegerTheDreamDemon it probably has something to do with game dev's wanting to cash in on content/a trend that they know is very popular,and put little to no effort into actually providing immersion and good gameplay, story telling and sound design & visual design,so most horror games are put out on the market as fast as possible, with no regards to actually being psychologically horrifying and intriguing. It's all about quantity over quality, profits over putting their heart's and souls into projects. It leaves a lot of modern horror content soul-less, and bland.

It took me 25 hours to beat the game, and that was with a lot of screwing around, backtracking, and avoiding the main objectives. That game is far too long for these guys to have the will to complete, unfortunately.
