The martial art you see is a traditional Thai called "Muay Boran". It is a very dangerous martial art used for killing people because it uses the hardest parts of the body to fight, such as elbows, knees, heads, heels, because Thai people in the past had military very few. Thai people have to practice this martial art. When they lose their sword, they can use traditional muay thai to kill their enemies. But this martial art cannot currently be used in sports competitions because it is too dangerous. Therefore, a new martial art was born to be used in competitions, namely "Muay Thai" today. However, some countries do not allow Muay Thai to use elbows and knees because they are very dangerous

Stop the cap. Lethwei uses all of this in their competitions. We have had several Vale Tudo competitions where you could use all of this, no one dies. Muay Thai allows you to use everything except headbutts. MMA also allows you to use everything except for headbutts.

Muay Thai has been used in an ancient war in the past, not only to protect but to kill enemies when your weapons drop off in battlefield, all moves of Muay Thai aim for the body dead spot, Dodge, parry, defend, throw, crush, catch, break. Every part of the body. It will be used as a weapon instead. 🙏

Hey, you're never too young to take up a martial art in my opinion. Yeah, you're not going to beat 20 ninjas but it's great exercise and good fun if you can find a good school. Probably not Muay Thai though. A lot of Muay Thai like styles use a lot of elbows and knees in their art. They also use a clench. He does it a lot in the movie like 8:23, where he grabs the neck and thrashes the opponent around so he can get free knees in. Regardless, that isn't common with a lot of sport martial arts as knees and elbows have a lot of power in them so you can seriously hurt your opponent doing that. Although I think Muay Boran is kind of in the middle of a recreational art and a hard-core military art. I know it was one, but I feel like stuff like Combat Sambo work better in that respect. But the art is over 100 years old at this point. I guess a lot of those combat arts are also not really flashy. Most of them are just break something and move on which can be more desturbing than cool.

You’re never too young to do martial arts! Actors like Tom Hardy and Dave Bautista trained jiu jitsu more currently in their life. Mark Zuckerberg started training not too long ago too and they are all great at it. Learning self defense can even save your life one day you never know! Anyways loved you’re reaction to one of my favorite martial arts movies of all time

Thai boxing the guy that you seeing is using muai tai. Which use fist. Elbow for defense and knees
Korat boxing is another branch. of Muay Thai as you can see Tonyja received training from a boxing teacher. Then he applied the fighting postures in his own style. From then on Cambodia has claimed that Tony Ja's fight is Khun Khmer or Bo Ka Tor. Notice that later on the fighting posture in this movie is seen in Cambodia and he actually took this posture to practice. is A gesture that Tonyja had developed himself. Used for display purposes only.
