It is good you turned around because you will read in the newspaper tomorrow that there was a mountain lion in the cave. How ironic, given my comment. I repeat, Mexico is beautiful and spectacular. Wow kinga, you were having such a nice day with beautiful scenery and lovely weather, And then bang, How a day can change, you were brave even trying to find your drone, I feel for you, And how well you did climbing back up those rocks 🪨, It's not worth risking serious injury, A drone can be replaced, I know it's a real bummer to loose it and I guess they don't come cheap, (I have never had one) I am so use to seeing a happy kinga and I don't blame you for not wanting to do any more filming, Try and get a good night's sleep though you probably won't, Tomorrow is another day, And I will keep my fingers crossed that it is a better one. Too bad about the drone, Kinga. 😢 I would have asked someone for help. The local folk could very likely have shown you some safer and alternative routes to get you closer to the drone's location before determining if it was safe and worth pursuing further or not. Maybe we'll learn more about this adventure in your next episode. I'm still hopeful you found a solution! Cheers!

It was a deep canyon, even if there was a hiking trail to get down it would take hours and the drone would be totally destroyed. I'm just gutted I've lost all this incredible footage 😔

Perfect weather for motorcycling. And for losing the drone. We lost a drone in a burst of fog in the Alps in October (luckily found it two days later). Why are they not in bright neon colours to find them easier in the bush? What a sad experience to write off a couple of hundred bucks. You could have used the money otherwise better. I was really hoping you would recover your drone. And I hope you were able to replace it by now. It seems to have been a bad year for your cameras. Didn't you have 360 damaged or destroyed in New Zealand? Anyway, you did a lot of walking and climbing and making good decisions to record a great episode. You do a good job of listening to your intuition (gut feeling), which is an important part of TAKEING CARE of yourself, Kinga. 💪🤟

If the lost drone is a DJI Mini 3 Pro, then it sounds to me like it lost a prop in flight. Make sure there is a thin band of loctite on the prop screw when doing a replacement. I'm sure you have a new drone by now. What is it or what are you thinking of getting?

The golf course behind our house became flooded in the spring. An older neighbor said he'd give us the steely at the bottom of a depression. My brother dove into the cold water to get it. I don't remember what he told my parents.

Very sorry to see that. But how? If the drone looses the connection with the controller it should immediately go up to pre configured height and return to you by GPS automatically. Was the return flight height set to low?

@@onherbike Thank you for your kind reply Kinga. I do understand the purpos of a drone. You didn't just loose your drone you lost all the footage on the card. The point I was making is if it was me I would be mindfull of flying it over an area where if there was a malfunction of the drone you'd loose it. You can replace the drone but not the footage stored on the card. Use a clean card in dodgy places not one with stuff on you want to keep.

@@onherbike If only for the footage of course, little memory card that was inside or something alike. Either way, I wouldn't expect it to be in pristine condition anymore no ;). That said...
