ONI Denim Selvedge Jeans 20oz 679ZR Review

Game changers for me! Weighty but not heavy to wear Superior slub/texture Low tension/superior drape/body conforming Keep you warm (Autumn/Winter) but don't cause overheating (Spring/(UK) Summer) No significant break-in period. COMFORTABLE!!!! I can't stress this last one enough!! Wearing new denim should NOT be torture. Some people might take pride in breaking in an item over six months but to me this is absurd. Paying premium prices to feel deeply uncomfortable...?! WTF?! Additional benefits include: ease of fade achievement (if this is your preference). For many it is. Personally it is not mine-I like to have one pair of faded jeans for very casual wear situations. The rest I prefer to remain in fairly new condition as high-fade is not a very versatile look. It's too shabby for the majority of situations. One faded pair is sufficient. Drawbacks of ONI so far: Sizing - can be difficult to get right. I now have 3 different waist sizes in the brand. Generally I would say size down for standard secret denim and take regular size (possibly even size up) for any sulphur dyed/over dyed/limited editions. I recently purchased the Oni Asphalt in one size up. Continued stretch over long term use - have seen some criticisms of this on forums. Time will tell. Personally I think (hope) this might be more to do with the sizing issues I referred to above. Hopefully if you get the sizing right, over-stretch isn't such an issue.

I recommend checking out Orslow denim as well. Very different from Oni denim but worth a look. I love their 107 Ivy fit, especially in their White denim!

Great review! I have two 20oz pairs in 246, in the black and the dark indigo. Both pairs amazing but the first purchase I should have sized down. Somehow they came with 36 inseam and as a shorter guy I am wearing some massive double cuffs before hot wash and hemming. Thanks for this review.

I think this is due to the loose weave and the aggressive wash both causing a lot of shrinkage
