ONKYO - Firmware Update for the TX-NR717 & TX-NR818 via USB

Had the same problem when i plugged in my stick to the backside USB, but when i tried the front side USB the "update via USB" option showed up. Have you tried all USB ports?

My receiver never started again after firmware update. Awaiting answer from Swedish service companies right now. Any suggestions to why this happened? Maybe just a broken fuse?

My onkyo TX-NR717 have problem with the output I try to repair it but they say I need to change the whole board of that output of my amp in India it cost lot money for that I can purchase new one with that what should ido

Mabe time for a new receiver considering how many years have passed. Never updated mine because of problems others had after the firmware up date. Hopefully updates are more KISS than this.

update the 818 is a no go lost my onkyo for 6 weeks because of the firmware faulth
