Onkyo RZ50 has individual crossovers; it's twin, Pioneer LX505, has a fixed global crossover at 80 Hz.

Yeah I remember that. One of the main reasons I picked the RZ-50 over the LX505.

3800h doesnt come with Dirac though. You have to buy it separately. It has Audyssey.

Onkyo can do crossover for every speaker. But the RZ50 doesn’t have independent sub outs unfortunately. The RZ70 is the way to go if you want Onkyo. A much steeper price but it gets your a better power supply, more power, and 2 independent sub outs. It comes with Full Bandwith Dirac Live, and it’s upgradable to Bass Control. Next upgrade for me is Magic Beans!

After you run through all the auto crap (which I hate) in Dirac, then you can re-tune "your" desired crossover points within the Onkyo interface. Or at least that is how it works with my TX-RZ70, so I'd imagine the 50 is the same way. Cheers 🍻

You can change each speakers crossover points for sure on all the higher end onkyo receivers. Some pioneer receivers are the ones that have the shared speaker crossover points. I would get the onkyo 7100 if I was running only 5.1.2. 9.2 channels w/ dirac. $629 and room to add more speakers. Denon x3800 if you want more than 1 sub.

The RZ30 has 2 independent sub outs.

@anthonyperez_audiophile i read that also about the RZ30 having 2 real sub outputs! Will be a killer receiver when it goes on sale. Denon X3800h is cheaper right now onsale and has 4 sub outputs, but no included dirac if that matters. 😅 I like onkyo but the RZ50 is in a bad spot right now and need a refresh.
