Just gonna say this and I'm sorry if it's against the rules. Don't cheap yourself out! Don't be afraid to charge at least minimum wage (for your respective country) per hour on your work. It doesn't matter if it's a physical item or a digital work of art, you've put time into it and used materials or energy. There are apps that help you work out what the total will be at the end of the commission.

I had a scary experience with one at Otakon when I was 16 and legit was afraid ever since (basicly the suiter didn’t talk and I didn’t know that was a thing, they hugged me and wouldn’t let me go and it wasn’t a purely ‘innocent’ hug). Yes, I agree on this! I'm not a furry and so RP kinda is weird for me, but I'm personally willing to try and get into it to be open to it and to get involved in one community I'm in that consists of a good deal of furries. The issue for me though is how far things go. The character I use for roleplaying is a poison dragon from one of my Spyro fanfictions which inflicts venom by either spitting or biting, and it got to the point at one stage where someone said 'bite me daddy', which made me EXTREMELY uncomfortable (going on the points of limits mentioned). For the exact reason mentioned in the video of bringing the RP to a halt, I didn't want to do that, so I tried to play it off and say I didn't like it in the RP style, but obviously that intention was missed and I unintentionally encouraged it (so that mistake was on me lol). But it got worse so by the time I did actually say I was uncomfortable, things kinda got a bit dry. I'm not a mean person by any means and didn't want to stop the RP coz I knew people enjoyed it, but obviously it wasn't helping me out and I encouraged it. Even though I'm willing to give it a try, there are times where I just don't want to RP, and so getting booped or hugged all the time gets a bit old and frustrating for me sometimes.

So glad you mentioned checking to see if an artist is available for commissions. Some artists don't take them at all! Please don't be offended if they say no. And again, thank you for mentioning not complaining about prices. If you can't afford something now, you can always save up! If you really want it, it'll be worth the money. And please don't comment with woe-is-me-I'm-so-poor-I-wish-I-was-rich-so-I-could-afford-this. Not only does this just make you sound childish, but the artist sets their prices for a reason - they need to eat, pay rent, y'know... survive! You don't need their art to survive. If you want it, save up and support the artist you obviously like.

Very good points in this one pocari! I always enjoy how you edit these, unobtrusive yet clean. Only one point i feel may have been important to bring up is EGO; in some cases someone being a little full of themselves or overbearing towards new members without realising it can turn them off joining the hobby or if an individual knows they are stepping a line getting into the fandom but don't back off can make people uncomfortable in either situation. I mean I know people talk to me on amino and other social media sites they find me. Like I love the attention my fans gave me even though it’s overwhelming but I love that. You can say hi to me but think of what you gonna say after that. Even if you want to say something about my content, fursonas etc. and I agree that if I were an artist or fursuit maker, I much rather be talking about regarding business related stuff. I think the hardest pieces of art are would probably be ones where the Fursona’s species is a brand new original species’ (often is the first art of said species) and so there is no basis, no base line and generally nothing to base the artwork on meaning that all they can do is be given a description and hope the commissioner likes it. (All descriptions should ALWAYS be understandable AND EXTREMELY DESCRIPTIVE) & this kind of art (first art of Species) is one that should be done with changes EXPECTED as it is highly unlikely that you will get the new species’ looking correctly which will 99% of time be pointed out be the commissioner so EXPECT big changes, if the species has parts that are unfamiliar styles or have never drawn before ( eg. Cyborg parts ) you can always do a collaboration with another artist.

FUrry rp has always been an enigma to me, the folks I got in with years ago didn't rp past *snugs u* when entering chats and I've never figured out how people go about it these days or where Is the norm para? I think another big thing about roleplay is to hate the character and not the person. If you are roleplaying with someone and their character is a bit of a big meanie, I doubt they are like that in real life,. I played a big mean character and it resulted to everyone in the chat to harass me personally because my character was a bit unfair with how he did things. It makes the person feel horrible and may never rp as that character again. That can really hurt someone. overall be respectful and don’t think that if someone’s rp character is a bad person that they are irl

I have a question regarding unintentional plagiarism and would love people's input on it! Like, I have a 'sona that I have been drawing since, like, middle school (and I have the old notebooks to prove it as well), but the more I have looked into the fandom, the more I realize that they look and even have a similar name to one of the fandom's most famous furry (that I didn't know about until like, two months ago?) Now, I don't wanna change my 'sona because I love them the way they are, but I don't want people to think I'm stealing and just changing a few things, you know? I have another rule for the internet! If you're an artist and you want to do request, put up slots for the request (aka limit to the request). And make sure there are _clear_ rules for the request. Like if they have to have a clear reference sheet, limit of what the request can be for example like just one character in a simple post. Also if you cant finish a request tell the person and explain, its not like your being forced to. If the person throws a fit that you're not giving them free art, then you know not to take commissions/request from that person. Most people should be understanding about it. Never feel forced to give someone a request because they're being choosing beggars to you. Like if you put up commissions and someone is asking for free stuff cuz if this and that reason you don't have to. If there's anything I missed please feel free to tell me!

I was in a group chat roleplay, and I was with my, friend, and her friend, and I wasn’t really comfortable with being in a group chat with my friend’s friend (going to call him Bob) But bob and my friend wanted to roleplay, so I agreed to make em happy.... but.... Bob discluded me... a lot.... and my friend tried to include me, but bob really didn’t like me roleplaying with me, even when he asked me to roleplay, so I didn’t reply bc I was really uncomfortable with it... well, my friend asked if I was okay, so I said I was AFK, and I was back, and when I put something from my character, Bob went and ‘killed’ my character. It made me mad, bc I love my character so much, so I just left the chat. Moral of the story, don’t kill someone else’s character

Lonely Coconut you’d want to ask the artist or cosplay/suit maker if they could make a copyrighted character. Most artists and cosplay/suit makers can not take commissions of copyrighted characters or they might get in legal trouble. But it can be different depending on the artist/maker.
