There are many factors in makeup courses online . One resource I found which succeeds in merging these is the Bloom Blueprint Crusher (google it if you're interested) it's the best plan that I have ever seen.look at all the awesome information .

Hey CKey! I'd say to definitely check out the laws in each state because in some states you need to have a cosmetology license to apply makeup. I was a commercial MUA in California and I did not need a license. But now that I've moved to the East Coast in NY you do need a license so I'll be attending cosmetology school to get it.

I really appreciate this video. I want to be a mua and I've done makeup on family and I'm the one family and friends call for makeup questions. I put together my kit and wondered should I make business cards or take a class. I decided I'd feel more confident if I took a class. I found that I live in the town that has FAMU, FSU, and numerous vocational schools none have a makeup course. In certain states, like Mississippi, in order to label yourself as a "makeup artist" you must have a cosmetology license. It varies by state.

NATASHA RUTLEDGE not True. There isn’t a license actually it’s only a certification and in most states you can be a freelance makeup artist you just can’t work in a shop

That is is lie, I am in the state of Florida, go to licenses.org it CLEARLY states you can NOT do freelance or work for a company unless you licensed to do So. You can be sued if you are not tested by OSHA on proper sanitation and hygiene! Don't spread false info without facts. Believe me I've been in this system for a while.. I've read my rules and laws.

Jacki O it's still apart of the curriculum. Both those careers involve makeup. You need to be taught how to sanitize and be healthy with clients. For that you must learn about OSHA rules and regulations. People can sue if they find out you use brushes that aren't sanitized. So for that they make you go to school so you learn proper care.
