I have taught art for over twenty years. I have competed at high levels in international sand sculpture competitions, and I have taught martial arts for over 30 years. I have worked with students , of all abilities in many different settings. I can say that this is the most complete course I have seen. It doesn't just demonstrate , but explains the "why" things are done. By creating exercises and explaining the "why", progress is multiplied. His knowledge and experience is amazing. I highly recommend this to anybody who wants to be a great artist...every art educator... and anyone who wants to look at a sculpture to understand what they are seeing. The online organization is fantastic. I can set up the clay at home or next to my computer at work. Log in and go. I don't have to hunt down DVDs and a player. It works, and allows me to practice and progress as time is available. I am excited to see where my skills will be in a year. I give this program an A++

I wonder if the course would be relevant if I plan to work on portraits in ZBrush instead of clay. How much clay-oriented is it? Does it work for digital media? Thanks.

I think it absolutely would. The same basic principles would apply, just you'd have to figure out how to replace the tools used with whatever brushes and alphas would work. The understanding of forms and anatomy would most definitely be relevant, firing and hollowing maybe not so much
