As someone who has sculpted and worked with clay in the past, this is incredible. It's something that comes with time. Making mistakes and working through them. Getting so far, then totally starting over. Having the wrong expression and changing it. This person has been doing this for quite some time. This is a learned skill, but you have to have patience and put in the work. Tiger Woods didn't wake up one day and become a great golfer. It's the THOUSANDS of hours on the practice greens and driving ranges. It's the time someone puts into something that make them great. So, to anyone who wants to do this, get your ass out there and do it. Get all the supplies you need, set aside a few hours per day, or per week and learn the skills. It's something that doesn't just stay with you either, you need to keep up your skills and stick with it. I hope there are more people out there who do this. It's a dying art, in my humble opinion. It has inspired me to get back into it. I already have too many irons in the fire, but what's one more. It's such a calming thing to do as well. Put on some peaceful music and create! Well done. Thank you Philippe. You are a great artist. I enjoyed watching you work.

Puede que esos dislikes vengan de artistas con un "understanding" mas elevado que el tuyo. Donde tú no ves faults, otros los ven a leguas. Me puedo dar cuenta de que clase de "artista" eres

Thats completely different..! Greek art was greatly innovative, creative. The sculpture here are just technical, with low expression and no style
@oshawaxpress2 ай бұрын
@@BakkerSamuel 1. All sculpting is technical. 2.Greek sculpting wasn't always innovative, maybe you forgot about the. Archaic period, from which every other style developed. 3. This isn't meant to be an example of 'Greek' sculpting. 4. What do you mean by 'low' expression? This is a sculpting of an every day real person. Real people have an endless variety of expressions. It's not meant to be a sculpting of Aphrodite. 5. Let's see you do better, Michelangelo.

In my country, only students who major in portrait drawing or a mannequin craftsmen can do such a job properly. Few illustrators and comic artists have knowledge and experience of academic portrait drawing. Everyone draws anime and manga with the motif of anime and manga. You guys love manga and anime, but I admire the advanced skills of American illustration and comics.
