For cambly, yes. If it's been a while you were rejected. But find out why first and make sure you fix the issues.

Great info Tim! Quick question. I applied and got hired on Cambly Kids but my first two reservations are with adults.I only wish to teach kids. Should I not open Priority Hours?Will kids book classes if I only open my reservations calendar? Sorry for bothering you but I'm new to the platform!

Hi! How long did it take for you to get accepted and when did you apply?

Great questions. Its up to you what types of reservations or priority hours you open. Kids can book both types and you can select whether you want kids or adults to book you when you open those reservations. Just select Kids and go with reservations because those tend to book better with the kids side.

Hello! Great video , very informative, I applied to cambly last year and got no reply. I did get hired on another online teaching platform that I still currently work for. I'm going to apply for Cambly again this year, I want to apply for Cambly kids only , but is it still necessary to apply for regular Cambly though I only want to teach kids?

You just need to apply to regular Cambly and then request to teach the kids side.

Cambly kept me hanging for a very long time. When I finally demanded an answer, I was told that they are not I interested because they have lot of applications. They did not check out my qualifications nor teaching experience and just shut my application down. Cambly is not an option and I am very disappointed in them especially after you are promoting them most of the time in most of your videos.

Sorry to hear that. They are in need of Cambly Kids tutors but they don't hire every single applicant. Sometimes the application fails based on the tips I provided in the video - as I suggest, just reapply with a new email address.

I am not promoting them most of the time - I just see them as a great option for teachers who need a position quickly. Of course they don't hire everyone, no companies do, but if you fit the requirements and implement my tips, you stand a good chance. Id be happy to review your video for you through email as well. I was hired on with VIPKID when you could do live demos and I taught an actual vipkid employee. Now I struggle so hard making a video teaching a non-existent person. I love teaching when I'm getting actual feedback and watching a child's expression for understanding, enjoyment, etc. I am not good at demo videos, and it is showing. How do you teach nobody? 😭 Help me! 🤣

I made a demo video that taught an entire lesson (25 minutes) and had to make one for each level to get certified when I applied with VIPKid. So from the Demo to Level 1-Level 6 classes, I had to make such demos. The only class I don't think I had to make a demo for was to become a level 7 teacher. There was no one behind the screen when I made my recordings, but I pretended there was. I would respond as if I was the student whenever I'd cup my ears and I'd speak quietly under my breath. For example, I would ask, "what color is this?" I would cup my ears and quietly respond as if I am the student myself and say, "it is purple." I would reward the "student" using verbal praise (e.g. great job!) and give a thumbs up. I was just really animated from beginning to end imagining the student behind the camera. I guess it just came naturally to me. You can also try to use a puppet or a doll of some sort to help you with this transition if you physically need to see another face with you on camera. Have you ever watched PBS kids? The way the actors would interact with the screen towards their audience- the kids? Think Blue's Clues and Dora the Explorer. That's what I would do. I would pretend I'm the actor and interact with the screen towards the students. I really hope that helps 😁
