If 80% of Indians as international students then I don't think it is a good one. Absolutely no global exposure but it's really a safe spot, feels like we are in our own country. Final thoughts are kinda a trap for asian students for their fee. Please plan and apply, whatever the job market is if you're in a better place at least you'll get more chances to get a job. You can choose this uni or similar(targeting asian stu) only if you are well planned or you are stable or any personal reasons.

Hang in there guys, try contacting a Consultancy to keep your visa status active and until you get a job try some part time jobs in USA!! Even in the worst case you’ll save more money than working for 30-40k in India!! While what you say is true. It is not bad to be in India for a peaceful life. Getting a job and visa in USA sometimes also is a matter of luck and market. It can turn your life upside down if you take education loan to a crore and cannot repay. Ofcourse we live one time and it is worth the shot. But now everywhere it is crowded both in USA and Canada. Kinda saturated.

largest in newyork is not the stony brook but it is SUNY, Buffalo(university at buffalo) please try to recheck the facts before making it official dear author. And Stony brook is kinda overrated the acutal gem is SUNy,buffalo i repeat. Please visit that university once because i studied in the same university and got graduated. You can find many great laboratories and facilities over there than Stony brook. I am so sure because of my friend from the same university and me from that university i mentioned above. The Computer science department at that university is pretty strongest in public universities network in newyork state.
