Fewer, not less.

Less is gramatically correct, fewer would be correct if it had been led by even.

@@they_are_everywhere eh...less isn't grammatically incorrect but neither is fewer. Personally, I'd use fewer because people are countable whereas less is more common for uncountable amounts (like less flour, less water etc). Basically if the noun changes for the plural form then I use fewer...about 90% of the time. Less also gets used on countable amounts in common verbiage (20 items or less, 500 words or less, less than twenty dollars etc) so isn't wrong, but it causes a record scratch in my head for this instance because I just wouldn't personally use it this way. Less vs fewer is one of those ones where the rules aren't totally solid...but also...as long as it gets the point across that there's a diminutive comparison going on who cares? Language changes, I use nouns as verbs if I can't get the right words going in my head, it's all good as long as you can be understood. (Also, the even in the case of even fewer adds a certain flavour that helps the flow and emphasis of the sentence but isn't grammatically required)

@@they_are_everywhere Fewer is for things that can be counted, like people who have walked on the moon or puppies in a litter. Less is for things that cannot be counted like sand or water.
