I publish new diy projects almost every day,SUB NOW!

Great idea thank you. I made this project and mounted it in a project box with a 12v barrel connector. Love your videos...

Great Idea! I have a drawer full of unknown zener diodes and now I will test them all and sort them.

I made one of these and it's really handy. Thanks!

can we test Transistors MOSFETs with this ?
@mikepanchaud113 күн бұрын
Yep, that works well. But can you please put a filter over the display as it is unreadable on camera. Elecrical tape or even white paper also works. Thanks .

Very nice idea Thanks (from India) I am long time subscriber 👍

Thanks for the video 😁👍 This tester tests base-collector and base-emitter junctions of transistors by voltage drop, as it does with diodes and leds?

yes good question 👍

If your crocodile clips came with the wires preinstalled then you might want to check the resistance of the wires. Most these days have cheap steel wire rather than good copper and they will make quite a difference in your reading. In fact it's hard to get good connector/wire premade without cheap steel wire being used. You are better off making your own.

Another COoL project. To be honest I need to go back and see exactly what that circuit is doing. You threw me a curve with this one. But Me Likes. Very nice schematic you printed out! I didn't know you could buy "purple toner" ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Daily videos? I need to step up the pace on my side. I will do this. Cheers from So.Ca.USA 3rd house on the left.

For what reason do you use the bridge rectifier ? If you use a dc suplly , you normally did not need this part
@seamuslily11 күн бұрын
I'm trying to self learn electronics (very new ) what bridge rectifier should I get for this tester and or which ones should I buy to have. love your content
@Hacktuber11 күн бұрын
For this tester you can get the cheapest one or build it from 4x1n4007 diodes

Why the resistor? And why that value? The only thing i can imagine is the device operates in a particular range to calculate and that “calibrates” the value on the screen. I tinker but I’m not very smart

"Smart enough" to ask a good question. I had to have some explain "your question" to me ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Cheers K-man

Resistor: current limit (10V/10K = 1mA; with 1K -> 10mA), without : components will burn if power supply delivers a lot of current. Diodes/LED work well with low currents (1-10mA).
