Well done ! and insane, how the road and the city of Aktau changed since 2012.. from Aktau till Beyneu we had 90% with gravel and sand.... this area with the chalk-/lime-hills I remember very well. it was August 2012 and insane hot....

Ladas are easy to work on and some have lasted 40 years in the russian climate on rough roads. Simple and cheap to run, especially for poorer in society needing to get to work and shopping when living awY from public transport..

There are still Lada dealers in Kazakhstan. Canada no longer has Lada dealers as they have been replaced with South Korean vehicles.

In Panama we have not Lada dealers also. They been replaced with Chinese car. They used to distribute Lada in Latin America from Panama all the way to Guatemala.

That was a stunning room! Indoor camping at its finest! It seems like such a bizarre rule that you can enter Azerbaijan, just not by the land border. But you can leave via the land border. Weird! Well this was a bit more interesting scenery for you guys than the previous few days! I've had a few close calls with fuel whilst touring, but my old V-Strom doesn't estimate the distance left in the tank. Each time I've just had to chug in as high a gear as possible and hope for the best! It's not a good feeling!🤣 Pizza by the sea! How awesome is that after the desolate areas you've been through. That is crazy how big that room is! What a contrast from the previous night! You guys must have been relieved to make it there, to conquer the last logistical issue of the trip perhaps? I'm looking forward to seeing the next leg of your journey!

Noticed you gas cylinders. Have you ever had difficulty getting gas for cooking on your journey? Woukd you have ever seen the benefit in having a petrol stove? (You couldnt cook indoors with petrol of course!)

Looking back to the start of your journey, I can't believe how much you both have changed both in appearance and your motorcycling. One hundred miles was a long way on day one and now look at you munching the miles in the 'stans. Just beware of "Gethome-itus" Take your time and finish in style.
