Even here at the age of 8 she simply mesmerizes the audience. It was the final of Norway's Got Talent and wound up with her winning 46% of the total vote throughout Norway, with none of the other nine entries coming anywhere close to her total. The way she emulates Ella Fitzgerald's 'world renowned' recording is unbelievable, for Ella was/is considered the #1 jazz singer of all time. Angelina's command of the stage at this young age, in such a high pressure environment, told anyone listening that this was a superstar in the making.

If you see her first performance on AGT, she's was asked about winning Norway's Got Talent. She said that she entered at age 6 and won at age 7. I know what you mean, Ok. I always think I'm used to Angelina's sound but then that first note takes my breath away all over again. And this performance has THAT note - you know the one, the high note in "Your Daddy's rich" - and I get the chills every time. You need to listen to Gloomy Sunday, her audition performance at age 7. Get the version with subtitles and play the whole vid - you really get an impression of how young she was when she sang that.

If I remember correctly Angelina's mother Sara Astar said that in an interview (there is a video here on KZbin). Sara's statement went something like this: "I wanted Angelina to sing the song Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and Angelina answered "No, never". In the same interview, Sara also said that only Angelina chooses the songs she sings and only sings according to her own ideas. 🤗

Angelina as a small child was one of a kind, there has never been anyone close. Michael Jackson was thought to be the ultimate child prodigy and he was legitimately awesome, but at any given age he didn't have the subtle vocal control and singing versatility as Angelina.

Totally lit reaction, my friend! Nothing new there😉 There is no denying your fascination and appreciation for Angelina. And you were right, she had just turned 8 in this performance. It was the final on Norway's Got Talent. She had 3 performances before his, the 2 first ones at age 7 🙂 This performance of "Summertime" was heavily influenced by Louis Armstrong's performance of it. He is one of Angelina biggest idols. Angelina was 6 years old when she gave her shoes to the homeless orphan girl who provided for her siblings by weighing people on the street on her scale. And those were not ANY shoes, either. Angelina has said in interview that she really loved them. 3 years later, at age 9, she became Norway's youngest published author when she released her book"Between Two Hearts" where she describes the meeting with the orphan girl. The book is illustrated bu her grandmother, Mery Zamani, Mery was a child prodigy in her own right in Iran, excelling in art and writing. Mery went to Japan to study art, and there she met her husband who is Japanese. They had Angelina's mum Sara, who speaks both Japanese and Farsi, just like Angelina 🙂 Both of Angelina's grandfathers have died, and Angelina has honored both of them, singing "Million Miles" which is her original song, written at age 13/14, and also "You Were Always On My Mind" by Elvis.
