Just as a footnote, the outfit she is wearing is a print from some of her grandmother's art works. Her grandmother was also a child prodigy and is a painter, poet, and writer, and is Angelina's greatest supporter and inspiration. She was the first one to rise to her feet for the standing ovation. Angelina has always been amazing, certainly for me, who came upon her talent the middle of 2022. She has a huge library of videos, covers and originals, that go back in time to age 6, though really, I think she was singing when she was born. And she was born to the perfect family when it comes to support. I encourage you to go at least back to age 6 and enjoy the loveliness this beautiful young lady/little girl, always exudes in her performances, both in voice and in her persona, even at age 6. She will bring joy into your life if you are wanting, and if you are more blessed, she will add to your blessings. Enjoy this young lady in everything she is and does, I certainly do. Not only did Angelina get the golden buzzer from judge Heidi Klum, but she also received huge praise from the remaining members of the legendary Queen. Queen were delighted with Angelina's arrangement and shared it on Twitter with the words "WOW, what a rendition" (three years later they repeated their praise on TT in March 27th 2023 with the words "absolutely killed it".) "Welcome to the wonderful world of Angelina Jordan!" What a very nice reaction to Angelina's performance and your whole video said a lot and I really enjoyed it. Milo, I know I'm a little late with my comment. I scanned down the comment section and I see you have been reading them and commenting back to a lot of them. Her fan base has a lot to say about her and we tend to write comments in length similar to 'The Tale Of Two Cities'. I know in your heart how you feel so reading them will give you a great idea of who she is and how she affects all of us. Probably a good start is to go right to Norway's Got Talent and check out her 4 performances (she entered the show at 7 and turned 8 before being declared the winner of the show). Her poise and confidence is evident even at 7 years old. I'll be brief Milo, so I will not speak of how wonderful she is vocally and artistically. But, what you are about to find out (and you have already suspected it) is what a wonderful human being she is. She is a humble, kind caring and loving person and the soulfulness in her voice turns into a form of pure love when we hear her sing and it touches our heart. Once there, it will never leave. In your wildest imagination you can only guess what people are describing what's going on with listening to her. I like to say yes, she has been given a gift (and she works very hard at refining her gift as the years have progressed) and I truly believe she is here amongst us to spread the love within her to all of us (I mean ALL OF US) because it is undeniable the affect she has on everyone. But, I do like to remind everyone, she is Angelina, a sweet young lady, who is doing what she has dreamed to do since she was 1.5 years old (you will find out). She knows the affect she has on people but we should not expect her to suddenly appear with wings and fly through the sky. Oh boy, you are going to be bombarded by her fans called Angels that will fill you in on this music prodigy with an old soul from Norway. She's basically been a star since she was 7 years old. First and foremost, she is a jazz singer but has the ability to sing any genre. She also does all of her own musical arrangements. Her early influences are Billie Holiday, Dinah Washington, and Etta James to name a few. Her love of jazz came from her grandmother playing jazz music around her when she was young. In 2014, she entered at age 7 and won Norway's Got Talent at the age of 8. With her new found fame, she used it to appear on many shows from abroad and help raise millions for the less fortunate children around the world. At age 13, she was invited to participate on America's Got Talent: The Champions in 2020. She shocked the audience and the judges with her rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen. She received a standing ovation from all and got the Golden Buzzer from judge Heidi Klum to go straight to the Finals. Her performance went viral and even the group Queen responded on Twitter by saying, " Wow, what a rendition!" For Queen to respond to someone covering one of their songs is quite a feat since they rarely react to anyone . Not only that, but she received the copyrights for her version of this song from Queen, which makes it hers now. She did not win, but her fan base grew and expanded her popularity. Now 17 years old, living in Los Angeles, and currently signed with Republic Records, whose clients include Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, The Weeknd, and Drake to name a few. Her family and Republic Records had agreed not to heavily promote her just yet so she can live as normal of a life as possible and finish her schooling. From what we know, she is finally done with school. She had a single that came out May 5th called Love Don't Let Me Go, a new EP called Old Enough that came out Friday, July 21st, a newly released video of her new song called Now I'm The Fool, and a new album of original music which will be coming out later this year. She returned back to Norway and performed at a number of sold out concerts in which fans from around the world came to see her. Many of the fans there said she sounded better live in person and was a once in a lifetime experience. On September 22, 2023, Angelina had her first U.S. concert that sold out in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Her fans call her The Barefoot Princess. She always performs with no shoes when she sings. Why? The reason is very special. When she was 6 years old, she was traveling with her family in Iran where she met a poor shoeless girl in the streets that was about her age. She made money by weighing people. After speaking with her for a few minutes, Angelina noticed the scars on the girl's feet and asked the girl what her dream is. The girl said she wanted to be a doctor but she couldn't because she had to make money for her family. Angelina did what came natural to her, she gave the little girl her shoes and told her to not give up on her dreams. The girl then asked Angelina what her dreams were, Angelina answered that she wanted to be a superstar, and the girl said she would pray for her success. Since then, Angelina has performed barefoot in honor of that little girl and to those who are less fortunate around the world. She keeps this promise to this day. Fantastic reaction! I love watching people discover Angelina's talent for the first time. There are so many songs you should check out. Go back to when she was 9 and watch "I Put a Spell on You" to have your mind blown. There are hundreds of songs in between but you should really listen to what she sounds like now. Angelina is magical. Another lesser known but steadily climbing artist is Avi Kaplan, the former basso profundo for Pentatonix but went solo. Warm smooth chocolate describes his voice. Hello my friend, nice that you took a little look into Angelina's rabbit hole. for this song she was 13. She won Norway's Got Talent at the age of 8 with songs by Billie Holiday, Nancy Sinatra, and the song Summertime, you are at the very beginning and I hope that you embark on the further journey because it There is a lot to discover, she is the best singer in the world, in my opinion), but you will find out for yourself and believe me, you will be just as addicted to her voice as all the other fans (Angels), she will also be the barefoot angel with called the 1000 voices, why she always performs barefoot is a different story, she can adapt and improve her voice to any song and also convey a lot of emotions and she has not only written around 200 covers but also 11 originals written by her and 2 written for her , all of which are amazing and even now legendary and there's a lot to talk about, their new EP all originals I can't decide which song is the best. The whole EP is such a masterpiece and so well written by her, all I can say is she is outstanding and by far the best singer of this decade or century and Diamond is an even bigger surprise I have never experienced one in my entire life EP only contains number 1 songs, each of the 6 songs is a hit and grammy worthy. I hope that Republic Records will finally start the promo engine and it will be played on the radio and TV, only KZbin is not enough. Please read the biography I compiled for my all time favorite musical artist. Born Angelina Jordan Astar on January 10, 2006 in Oslo, Norway to her Norwegian mother, Sara Astar and her Swedish father, Gerry Christian Slattman. Angelina started singing around 18 months of age, after listening to Whitney Houston on KZbin. She quickly became obsessed with listening to music videos and her maternal grandmother, Mery Zamani got Angelina interested in classic jazz. Mery Zamani is Iranian and was a prodigy as an artist and poet while growing up in Iran. Angelina attended the Oslo Waldorf School and participated in the Oslo School of Music and Performing Arts after-school program, where starting around age 4, she had training in music but no vocal training. Her teachers were smart enough to not attempt to change what she was doing vocally. More recently she along with her grandmother have designed and made the clothing she wears on stage. *Why Angelina always performs barefoot* At age 6, while traveling in the Middle East with her mother and grandmother, Angelina noticed a girl around her age standing on the side of the road, asking people to step on her bathroom scale to be weighed in hopes of getting some money. Angelina took off her shoes so as to not get the scale dirty and stepped on the scale many times to make the girl feel better. Angelina befriends the girl who was not wearing shoes and has scars on her feet, and learns she is an orphan. The orphan girl tells Angelina how beautiful she thinks her shoes are. Angelina says her shoes don’t fit her well and she wants to give her shoes to the orphan girl who thanks Angelina for giving her the shoes. Angelina asked the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and the girl replied, “I want to become a doctor, but that will never happen since I have no parents and I have siblings so I have to do whatever is necessary for us to survive.” Angelina told the girl to never give up on her dreams. The poor girl asked Angelina what she wanted to be when she grew up and Angelina replied that she wanted to sing for the whole world. The poor girl said she would pray every day so Angelina’s dream would come true. Angelina still says she thinks of that homeless girl every day and has always performed barefoot to remind her of all the children who are less fortunate. At age 9, she became the youngest published author in Norway’s history by writing a book about this encounter in the Middle East. PLEASE PURCHASE Angelina’s book from her merchandise store on her official website, angelinajordanofficial Angelina, at age 6 and 7, did record a few songs in a recording studio at her school, most notably “I Who Have Nothing”, a truly remarkable performance for a 7 year old. At age 7, Angelina’s audition on Norway’s Got Talent, was a cover of Billie Holiday’s “Gloomy Sunday”, a song which was banned by a number of European countries during World War II because authorities worried the song would increase the suicide rate. Truly bizarre that this is the song to launch the career of a child musical prodigy. One of the judges on NGT cried. Musicians working with Angelina would call her the boss since she knew exactly how she wanted to sing the song and would confidently instruct the musicians. While one could say Angelina was mimicking other artists, there is no doubt she had her own style and created her own arrangements, even at this early age. Angelina had turned 8 years old for her next performance on NGT, covering Billie Holiday’s “I’m a Fool to Want You” singing acapella which was required by NGT unless the singer also played an instrument while singing. This was the Judge’s cut round of the competition to trim the number of vocalists who passed their audition, and was not performed in front of an audience. In the Semi Final round of NGT, Angelina sang “Bang Bang” which was written by Sonny Bono and was first performed by his wife Cher but is best known sung by Nancy Sinatra. The improvement in each performance is incredible even though there were only a couple months between them. In the Finals, Angelina did a cover of George Gershwin’s, “Summertime” and won the contest, capturing 46% of the votes from the ten finalists. When asked what she would like to do with the prize money she won (500,000 kroner or about $80,000), Angelina replied, “I want to give it to the poor children”. The money was placed in a trust and available when Angelina turns 18. Record company executives flew their private jets to Norway to attempt to sign 8 year old Angelina but all were thankfully rebuked. Disney also made an offer but not accepted. In December 2014, Angelina realized a life-long desire to sing at the Save the Children's Peace Prize Celebration which is part of the Noble Peace Prize celebration. Angelina’s family took her to United States, Brazil, Germany, France, United Kingdom, Russia, South Korea, Singapore and Mexico among other corners of Earth, to perform for heads of state and to help raise money for charity. All before Angelina turned 14. At age 11, Angelina recorded her “It’s Magic” album which has, at times, been in the top 10 best selling jazz albums. The album can be purchased on iTunes or Amazon. On June 27, 2018, at age 12, Jordan performed “Fly Me to the Moon” for Quincy Jones in The O2 Arena in London. She has said that was the high point of her young career which was already in it’s 6th year. During 2018, Angelina lost her paternal grandfather, her friend Avicii and one of her idols, Aretha Franklin. She did a moving tribute for each. In 2019, Angelina accepted an invitation to compete in the 2nd season of America’s Got Talent (AGT), The Champions. She had, since age 3, wanted to perform for Simon Cowell and she earned his praise with her genius arrangement of “Bohemian Rhapsody”. The surviving members of Queen loved it so much they put a link to it on their Twitter. Angelina’s family refused to sign any agreement with AGT which would give Simon any control over her career. Angelina, before age 14, had covered more than 130 songs from 80 different artists, spanning at least 8 genres, all of which are available on KZbin. Angelina has always made changes to each song she covers and often her version is preferred over the original. On KZbin, search on The Complete Works of Angelina Jordan as Rusty Shackleford has put all songs in one file and has a complete playlist in the description of that video. The pandemic hit shortly after her performances on AGT and likely caused a change of plans by her family, most notably her Uncle Michael who is her manager. Her family agreed to a contract with Republic Records in August 2020. Republic Records declared Angelina Jordan their highest priority new artist. Reportedly her family requested Republic to allow her as normal a childhood as possible and therefore have yet to fully promote her. During the pandemic, Angelina was often seen buying meals for the homeless on the streets of Los Angeles. In November 2020, Angelina released “Million Miles” which she wrote after the passing of her beloved maternal grandfather. She dedicated the song to anyone who has ever lost a loved one. Angelina had previously released, 3 other original songs: “What is Life”, “Oslo” and “Shield” In April 2021, her original “7th Heaven” was released. A jazzy, danceable, inspiring song. Angelina had concerts in Norway in July 2022. In December 2022, Angelina performed at the Asian American Awards in Los Angeles. On 2/27/23, Angelina performed at the FIFA Awards ceremony in Paris, France, with a viewing audience in the millions. On May 5th, 2023, Angelina released her original "Love Don't Let Me Go" On July 21, 2023, her “Old Enough” EP was released with 5 new original songs: “Fire and Rain”, “Diamond”, “Now I’m the Fool”, “All My Fault” and “Good in Goodbyes” Personally, Angelina as a great human being and her music came into my life when I needed it most. Her music has improved the quality of my life more than I can express. I now introduce her to as many people as I can, with the hope her music will do the same for others. We know once her family believes the time is right and allows Republic Records to fully promote her, she will become the superstar she has always dreamt and believed she would be. Few months after the show in 2020 she was signed to Republic Records label and has released with them 8 original songs. Her first 3 original songs were released under her label Angelina Jordan Inc. This year she also got a deal with FIFA to appear in the World cup in the States 2026. She has one the most addictive voice (and personality to match) that you will ever come across. She is now collaborating with the best producers and writers the industry has to offer. She will turn 18 in January next year 6' ft tall and a supermodel appearance to match her incredible artistry (songwriting skills to match her voice). 🎉🎉 Who is Angelina Jordan 🎉🎉 Angelina is a Norwegian born child prodigy in music. She's a singer/ songwriter who's arranged over 180 covers and 11 originals, all since the age of 7. Angelina began singing at 18 months old. At 2, she began teaching herself how to sing, focusing primarily on the jazz masters of decades gone by. These are artists such as Billie Holiday, Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, and Etta James. She's also influenced by Amy Winehouse, Frank Sinatra, Whitney Houston, and Adele, to name a few. She's also been said to be the girl of 1,000 voices. Yet even though we can hear the phrasing and style she puts in the songs, it's always Angelina that we hear. At 7 years old, she auditioned for Norway's Got Talent. She was the last to audition. The judges had no idea who she was or what she could do. They saw a diminutive mussy haired, barefooted girl with her teeth still growing in. For her audition, she performed "Gloomy Sunday" from Billie Holiday. On TV-2, they've reported over 14 million views of this performance. This does not take into account the many hundreds of reactors showing this audition to millions more. Needless to say, Angelina went on to win the 2014 season of NGT shortly after her 8th birthday. The family was bombarded with requests for performances, interviews, and record label offers. They turned down 90% of the requests, as they insisted that Angelina should enjoy a normal childhood. That didn't stop Angelina from performing at select engagements around the world, singing for Heads of State, including Barack Obama. She's spent time and worked with musicians such as Quincy Jones and Alan Walker. She first appeared on American television, The View, at 8 years old, and sang one of her favorite, "Fly Me to the Moon." Angelina auditioned for America's Got Talent The Champions at 13 years old. She made it just up to the final selection of the final group. Decided by what AGT calls "super fans," rather than an open vote, Angelina was not advanced to the final competition. Wonderful reaction! I believe this is the first Angelina performance I ever saw, and I quickly delved into the whole catalog, often moved to tears by THAT VOICE. You're so right about the unique quality of her voice, like no one else, instantly recognizable, and yet with flavors of great singers from the past and present. She once said if she hadn't discovered Billie Holliday (at age 7, no less), there would be no Angelina Jordan. Very nice reaction to Angelina. You're absolutely right. She was born to sing and basically started in the crib, and there's a video showing it. Angelina is basically self-taught and self-motivated. She fell in love with jazz that her grandmother played around the house when she was very young. Angelina picks her own songs and sings them the way she imagines. Angelina is definitely worth a deep dive. She has like two hundred covers and originals out there on youtube.

This young lady has been pursued producers and record companies since winning NGT at age eight. Her family wanted her to experience as normal a childhood as possible and so avoided contracts/overcommirments while limiting her appearances. She has appeared at venues globally when it didn't intwrfer witb her childhood or education. The family moved from Oslo to Los Angeles when she started high school. At 13 the CEO of Republic Records personally signed her to contract with the stipulation that she not be widely promoted or committed to schedules until she completed her education. She found supportive, complimentitive team at Republic and Stargate Productions. Covid kept her in the shadows for a couple years. She graduated high school in just over three years this summer. Realeased her first EP in August and is now ready to captivate the world, her dream since she was four.

🎉 The Barefoot Princess 🎉 (From her book, television and radio interviews, and podcasts made between 2014-2015. Includes excerpts from her diary made that day in 2012.) Why does Angelina sing barefooted? Angelina Jordan is known as "The Barefoot Princess" or "The Barefoot Princess of Jazz," amongst many other names. She always performs barefooted, whether in front of a live audience or during a studio performance. The story is that while living in the Middle East, at 6 years old, Angelina came across an orphaned girl, of her own age, sitting in the street, weighing people on a bathroom scale to earn money. Angelina said to herself, "I would like to share her life for one second to know what it is like to sit alone, wet, and damp, and barefoot in a corner of the street." Angelina could see the girl's bare feet were scarred and that it was cold outside, so she offered her own shoes to the girl. Little Angelina says that she really loved her shoes, as they were very nice and she knew she would miss them. But she saw the other little girl’s need for them, which outweighed her own desire to keep them. So she insisted the little girl take them. Angelina called her Princess, even though the girl said she didn't live in a castle, but the ruins of a building next to where she sat. After sharing their hopes and dreams, the little girl said of Angelina's wish to sing for the world, "You will become the one you dream of and when your dreams come true, you have to remember the poor children without shoes; and I will pray for you Angelina.” Later that day, 6 y/o Angelina wrote in her diary, "The world is very strange. Right then and there, I felt as if a door in my heart opened up, and it was filled with lots of lights. It was as if there was, from Earth to Heaven, a staircase. I climbed the stairs. To be able to do something for another human - it was such a big thing…hard to describe really.” From that point on, Angelina takes off her shoes, in honor of ‘Princess’ and all the other less fortunate children of the world, who are orphaned, hungry, or in want of even basic clothing. In 2015, at the age of 9, Angelina wrote a book about the encounter, as everyone continued to ask why she sang barefoot. Her grandmother, Mery Zamani, created the artwork for the book. So at 9, Angelina Jordan became the youngest published author in Norway. Angelina has performed alongside many other artists, raising attention and helping to raise over 21 million euros and millions of dollars for children in need.
