BECAUSE YOU CHOOSE TO BE! There's absolutely *_"Nothing"_* on this planet Stopping you people black from *_"Separating"_* yourselves into your OWN System of Black Empowerment where you'll truly be the TRUTH TO YOUR POWER!! ...Sorry but, WHITE PEOPLE aren't stopping you from anything at all! Your TRUE enemy is your state of mind! Your colonially Socially engineered thoughts ARE what's holding you back!... The moment you people realize this is the moment you'll realize your *_"Salvation"_* has always been just a *_"CHANGE OF THOUGHT"_* away!🤔.. You, people, have no idea just how powerful you truly are! ..But your haters damn well do! and be bankrolling off your ignorances, like, forever!

They do the same in UK. Labour have had very few Black MPs since they introduced their token Black MPs late seventies early eighties. Yet so many UK Black Brits just keep on cheering "yeaaah yay it's a Black person on tv". They never get anything out of it apart from optics.

Thank you for sharing this story, I had this feeling about Trudeau , I see the way he treat Marcie in his cabinet she was not given any important role . He has given people’s from India good cabinet position. I guess he does not care about our vote it’s not significant enough for him. Black people we have to start coming together , we have to vote at least for a prime minister that his cabinet will represent the diversity of Canada , our future as Canadian people depends on it .

Why do we continue to seek validation from the dominant society
@Charlee78652 ай бұрын
I disagree. This woman is intelligent and educated. She took the job because she expected a career. Expecting to be appreciated as a competent worker is not seeking validation. What businesses do black people own? Everyone who gets a job is seeking validation if they have a white boss. This woman was brave enough to speak up and walk away. She still has bills to pay and needs a roof over her head. How many black people are insulted in their work places and let it go because they need a check? Most of us if your honest.

Very interesting my thing is this Caribbean people need to ask for help specifically for us and not feel ashamed for doing so just look around everyone is getting help specifically for their culture we have say there taking the hard and high road for so long while people who are just arriving have surpassed us in matter of years and black youth are the most vulnerable group out of any other group in Canada when get in a position of power where someone asks you what can I do for you feel no way about putting your community on the agenda cause of it works out you are the hero and if it doesn't you can always use it as a point of lack of support from the Canadian government because look at what there doing for everyone else

She is in a tough position but she should play the hand she is dealt. Get in there and advocate for what you want, don't wait for them to do anything. Why didn't she have an opinion about the Decade events? Trudeau asked what she thought and she had nothing (girl what) and that is likely why she wasn't invited to meetings. Show up for the events or meetings whether you are invited or not.

Oook. but you’re an MP. If this was important to you then you should have some ideas ready to pitch. Starting with reparations for the exclusion of city services for Africville in Nova Scotia at the very least. Then push for business Grants and business mentorship programs for Black businesses so we can have a competing sector in SOMETHING.

I'm a little disturbed when i here the words "she's the only black woman" as the host of the show said. I normally have viewedthe host as someone for black people equally however her words kind of disturbed me. Many African American females only look out for each other and they have a f black men mentality. It's very in the open. If the eurogroup did that to black females or if black men did that the African American female and their weak male simps would be saying how wrong African American females are treated. African American men get dogged from every side even from African American females. The conversation should have been how she was treated as a black person not a black female. We know black menare treated the way she was always yet if black men complain we are called a wimp and whining.
