A few things all these riders had in common. 1: They all had legitimate paperwork. 2: They all stopped somewhere safe. 3: They all kept their hands visible and let the officer know what they were doing before they did it. That can make a huge difference in the outcome! Some cops aren't d*ckwads for no reason.

Crazy how much being honest and polite gets you with the Police. Last ticket I got I was for sure I was going to jail. Got clocked at 150 in a 65 zone in my 13’ F150 (heavily modded) on a 2 lane toll road at 2am. Came over a hill and saw a Charger sitting blacked out on the right shoulder and knew immediately what it was lol. Probably went by him at 130-140 and after probably a mile I had pulled to the side with my hazards on waiting for him to catch up. Finally did and got on the loud speaker and told me to exit the vehicle. I turned to my passenger and said “We’ll, I’ll see ya in a few days” I sat in the tailgate and he asked for my license and why the hell I was doing 150mph. I flat out told him “ Sir, I have no excuse. I just got some modifications done to my truck and I wanted to see how she did” He tapped my ID and told me to have a seat. I was dying inside lol. For sure thought I was done and my truck would get seized. He came back about 20 minutes later and told me to slow it the FUCK down and the only reason I’m not going to jail is because I stopped for him. I signed the citation which just said 10% or > over the limit. I framed the ticket and still have it hanging in my room. Only cost me $325 dollars This was Texas DPS too which are known to be hard asses. That ticket also got me my 15 min of fame. I was #6 of the Fastest speeding tickets in the state of Texas for 2018. The Drive and a few other online people blogged about it

When I was 15 I was on my bicycle and going down a hill and I had a motorcycle behind me I ended up losing my breaks and he tried to grab me and slow me down but it was to late and I dumped my bike into a cop car at the intersection he saw it me freaking out gaining speed and trying to slow down with my shoes and he stopped everyone and put his car in front of me to prevent me from slamming into a semi truck lol

Anyone familiar with the Phoenix-Mesa area will know the Bush Highway. Speed limit through most of it is 45MPH. I was rocking along at about 65MPH one evening on my KLR when I looked up and saw Highway Patrol coming towards me. I looked at my speedometer. Looked at him. He looked at me. He hit his lights. I don't think I've ever pulled over faster - I was shitting myself thinking I was going to get a ridiculous ticket. Trooper kept on going and never stopped. I waited for about ten minutes on the side of the road with my driver's license, registration, and insurance in hand expecting him to come back, lol.

I've been pulled over on my bicycle in january when it was freezing. He siad I didn't have a light. Said it was required by law that i have one. I did have one, but forgot to turn it on. By the way, it is NOT required by law, i knew that. Played along with him and he actually gave me a ride home.

You have to get permits for any flights in National Parks. National forest is free game as long as it's not class D or up airspace. I think they were in or bordering Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the officer was just incorrect when he called it National Forest.
