One thing I figured out when I first graduated highschool and was going into college, was that there is no quicker way to completely remove all excitement out of a relationship, than having sex way too early/immediately. But he was wasting it all on this young lady who was just using him. I advised him to let her go otherwise he would get in serious trouble with his gun all because of her. A few months later I learnt he dumped her and moved back to Florida to focus on himself. The young lady? Well, she messaged one night telling me her family kicked her out of their house and needed a place to stay. I knew she would inquire about staying at my home but instead I loaned her $130 for a hotel room cause I seen her as a problem I didn't want in my home. And of course she never paid back the money she owes and is still trying to finesse other men. Before I cut contract with her and her mother, I told her one day she'll finesse the wrong one and end up another story on the 6 o'clock news. And this was what I told her, "Sometimes you are your own worst enemy. The choices we make determine the direction we are going. Sooner rather than later, you'll will come upon something you wish you listen to your elders. Regret is one thing I don't live with because as a man, I'm use to things not going my way. One thing you always have to keep in mind in your pursuit of academics or your career, especially as a woman, but not exclusively: At some point you'll be done with your studies and you'll be done with your career, for some it will be sooner and for others it will be later, but there WILL be a point where you're done, but despite what people may think - you will still have like 10-30 years or so left to live and once you're 40, maybe 50 or even 60, it will be REALLY lonely without a family.
