This is wonderful and helpful and increases my practice time. But a little discouraging, because you never comment on HOW to get that beautiful sound. Maybe in a different video? Thanks!

Really love the idea of finding the favorite note and matching the quality of others! When you have a chance could you demonstrate the same string crossing exercise but with an upbow on the lower string and downbow on an higher one? Say upbow C and then crossed to downbow G. I find such crossings the hard to do smoothly and it would be great if I could see this demonstrated by you. Thank you as always!

Thank you!!! This helped me a lot! Just having the focus on tone and quality, instead of scales and songs. My playing already sounds good and I feel like my practice was efficient.

Thanks for all the tips. I'll use your video as a quick-practice guide when I'm in a hurry, but it's also a great "intro" to a long practice session (I have holidays coming up! I'll experiment with sound, using your method.) And I don't like my C natural (my fault, I can never get it perfectly in tune), but the G on the D string and the D on the A string sound beautiful on my cello.

Thanks so much! And I agree, it would work equally well as a warmup for the body and the ears before a longer practice session! If I hadn't picked the c natural as a starting point, the other two notes you mention would probably be my next picks!
