@14LOMON671 Better choice for who? Certainly not the workers and peasants, many of whom lost their unions and labor rights under the Franco regime. Due to this, they ended up working long hours with no protection. Not only that, but many of the peasants would continue to toil under the brutality of the Catholic Church. Even the Protestants were persecuted under this pro-Catholic regime. The country was only good for the rich aristocracy. If you want to lick their boots, go right ahead, but there's a reason why the Spanish Republicans are only gaining more popularity in today's Spain.

The game has theme of the Spanish Civil War, where Republicans (Leftists, supported by Soviet Union) and Nationalists (Conservatives, supported by Axis) fought each other in a fatal war. As we all know, Nationalists won, so Spain traded a heavyhanded dictator for life instead of Red Plague. So we play as the losers of Civil War. I am in no way (at my current level of understanding) saying that Franco was a good choice either. What I am saying is that Red Terror, what Republicans did to Catholics, was not different to what Nazis did to Jews. And to be born Polish it to understand that Fascists/Nazis only harm the body, while Communism claws a deep scars into the very soul of a nation.

I like the psychedelic type atmosphere in games like this. Rise of the triad It gave a terrifying feeling that you were somewhere in a parallel world of sick fantasy. The same type of walls, terrible graphics, etc. It's cool that you made the same game.
