Thank you so much Rachelle! I was pretty happy. All in all I’ve lost 5 pieces and 43 were successful, so not too bad. I wasn’t happy about the change in the speckled clay. Oh well, we’re always learning something with clay.😂🙏🏻🩷

But I’m glad they didn’t turn out looking like a werwolf!🤣 Sloths and chameleons are popular. I’ve learned that on my last shop update, oh and also hedgehogs! I appreciate your kind feedback!🙏🏻🥰

Also, what clear do you use over your underglaze? Do you fire your stroke and coat at cone 5?

@@andreamcveety8193 the clear glaze is called Kittens Clear and the recipe is under the Community tab on the top of my channel along with my firing schedule. These mugs were glazed with Mayco Stroke and Coat not underglazes. I have 10 tutorial videos for this technique called “Cuerda Seca”. It’s what I used on these mugs!👍🏻

How many coats of the glazes did you use on the test tiles? I am so disappointed that I missed your seconds sale since I watched you make many of those pieces. I will be more vigilant in checking your notifications in the future. I went out of town and have been doing yard work also recently. Love your work and your videos. Thanks Ana! -Liana

They were just one dip. When I use it inside my mugs, I pour the glaze up to the rim and pour out immediately. Thanks Liana 👍🏻

Just beautiful! What glazes have you found do not work well with Dark Star?

Thank you Sarah! Well it’s a hit or miss since they’ve changed the formula on this clay. It’s now a cone 5, not cone 6 anymore. If you go a little higher, you get pinholes and bloating. I will not be using this clay any longer. I’ve lost a few pieces because of these issues.😏

Hi Ana do you use just normal pencil HB to drawing to bisque before you trace with cuerda seca, or carbon paper?

Hi Marcia, I usually use regular pencil to freehand my design using regular HB mechanical pencil .07. I do it lightly and use a damp sponge to erase my mistakes. Then I use the oil mixture over my design. But it’s fine to use a carbon paper and trace your design also.👍🏻
