Hi aj i really like your videos. I have a quick question: i am back riding after 35 years and trail riding a CRF450x and riding standing up inhave a hard time hanging on to the bars when the power hits. I am squeezing the bike with my legs but still it wants to yank the bars out of my hands and it is tiring. I know the bike is a beast but ant other trick to help ? Thanks

@@BladeBarn problem is I'm not sure when I am or not lol. I just come off the track way more out of breath then the longer and higher heart rates I'm working out to. I know intensity can play some role

Wondering if you would be able to cover going down hills from a turn. First time on a track, I was doing fine until I went up a hill and then coming down I thought pulling in the clutch and letting off the throttle would slow me down. But I was gaining speed and before I could reach for my brakes It was too late, I low sided hard with the bike sliding ontop of me. Sprained my wrist too.
@AjCatanzaro4 жыл бұрын
It’s because the bike free-wheeled when you pulled in the clutch. You never want to pull the clutch in when hitting the brakes and trying to slow down. You want to leave clutch out and downshift the bike so you get engine brake

2:28 Wow. That wasn't big air, but it was big enough where that could have been much uglier. Wild ride for sure. I think a lot of beginners would have been over the bars. Overall nicely done, all things considered.

There aren’t many teachers out there that I would trust to teach you correctly. I’m not sure who would be in the Iowa area. Covid has messed up my plans for 2020, but in 2021 I plan to be traveling all over the world to teach

Saw you looking at kickers and then remembered a month ago when I went out to a track and rode my own line in and ended up making a kicker in the face of 65 footer when some goon decided to go at it spade during lunch brake and through powdery sand on It and left it without compacting it or anything and then on my first lap after lunch I rode the line and thought the kicker was gone and ended landing in a nose wheelie on the bars and rode it into a 180 berm and the bike landed on me 😂
