The only question I have is why do you not combine more? Get higher levels and make space. I’m still learning the game so this is a real question and not a snarky comment

Fair question: While I do typically combine them later on eventually, I've found that especially early on when you don't have enough powerful items, it's more important to have a higher quantity of weapons than higher quality. The outgoing damage potential is higher having three tier two weapons, than one tier three weapons and a few items that probably won't give stat bonuses to match the damage from the other two weapons I lost by fusing. A higher number of weapons also means taking advantage of adjacency bonuses, so having a higher weapons counts is helpful there as well. So ultimately, I'll wait to fuse lower tier weapons into a higher one until a high tier weapon appears in the shop to compensate for the "loss" of two other weapons.
