Well played! I do miss the cinematics on touchdowns and end of halves from BB2. The sequel feels like it has less spectacle, which is definitely a shame in a spectacular game like Blood Bowl.

you have those animation but you can't see them if you're playing on cinematic on armour break only. really hope they will change that or let us tweak what we want to see and not to see.

I know this is late, but the Orc team had two players named Toreg 'Knee-breaker' and one was in center of the LOS in 3 tackle zones.

I'm new to blood bowl so I've been running through the campaign to try to get a hold of the basics and I'm like 90% sure I keep running into a bug when passing sometimes (let me know if I'm wrong please) There will be times where I will set up my thrower to move and then pass the ball to my catcher and and the passing icon will pop up but then I can't validate the action to make it happen. So I end up having to move my thrower then wait until next turn to pass. It seems to be an issue mostly when using the action wheel and not so much when I use the hot bar and select pass from there.

The discord league I'm in have found that the passing bug only seems ro happen when the opposing team attempts to interfere. I'm sure it'll all get sorted though.

20:06 Why do you have to declare passes and such in advance? Seems like more of an annoyance than anything. Is there a good reason for it, esp. in a digital game?

Its part of the rules. Its mostly so to discourages you changing your mind and improving your decision making skills for the real board game

Depending on the contract they have with GW they may very well straight up not be allowed to change the rules as they see fit. And _if_ the digital rules were different than the TT ones, wouldn't that be a bigger issue?

Could someone explain to me please how I go about joining an online game? Whenever I go into Play Online it just tells me that none of my steam friends are online and give no option to search for a game. Am I missing something or is it just broken?

If you want to play against random peeps you need to join a league with your team. The easiest way to do that is to create a team and then click the "pre-season competition" in the bottom left of the team page. Or click the button on the main menu screen.

Giving Blood Bowl 3 a go mainly because I saw yourself and Reformist playing it, the campaign is descent but I think I'll really only start to proper learn this game when I play against real people instead of the AI, which does some weird stuff sometimes. Blood Bowl 3 is by many standards not great. But its also not the worst game ever, and people who like the board game, Will play it, if it even remotely works. Yet people who have never played the game, or the board game, or any of the other games, just love parroting other youtubers opinions. Remember most youtubers, have 0 qualifications, and read articles, that are written by people who just make stuff up. Its not just BB3, people do this all the time. They just absorb some youtubers opinion and spout is as gospel

I feel like Orcs are one of the worst teams. Slower than humans and the whole "but they're durable" thing barely comes up and gets demolished by Claw.

Before BB2020 the big advantage Orcs get is that they get to have a lot of STR4 pieces while still having lots of Block naturally. After BB2020 it’s hard to say, but at least Claw isn’t as ubiquitous

Well for starters its gonna be a foul heavy meta and orcs have quite possibly the best fouler in the entire game in a goblin they also have vomit on the troll now they have access to st4 and 5 they are armor 10+ have quite possibly the best blitzers in the game and have a legitimately decent passing game if built properly they are a great team you just have to play them right stack guard and have a lot of dirty player sneaky gits I played a game earlier against dwarfs and he was down 3 injuries before half time. If you know you know. Orcs are a problem mainly because of how good fouling is now

Also claw is only available on some teams where as all the main skills are available on every team so usually only teams like chaos teams skaven and or underworld have them and it's mostly only one player or two that has claw if you just target the player and foul him every turn it becomes a non issue pretty quickly lol 😆

The tutorial goes over the mechanics, the process of moving, throwing(declaring handoff/pass), double blocks, etc... it does not teach good tactics, common wisdom, etc... At 19:48 - the failed pass. You deselected all players - the player you wanted to pass with was NOT highlighted when you pressed the pass declaration (4). You then selected the player, who then has the default declaration of 1. I think the process is so strict that you must select the player first, and only THEN can you choose to declare the pass action. I wouldn't call this a bug, but the process of doing so being rather unintuitive and unforgiving if you don't do things in exactly the proper way. I could be wrong, I'm not a BB3/2020 rules lawyer.

The pass thing should work either way. It's only fair instead of the dumb stuff the game does now. As for the tutorial, it didn't teach blitzing correctly AGAIN. It only mentioned that one can move then block, it didn't mention that blocking then moving is possible. Although I'm not surprised they couldn't even get that right.

I am sorry, I watch your videos religiously, but after watching the “Yong Yea” video about this game, I can not support it. I didn’t watch this video, I only left this comment… Predatory micro transactions, locked content to drip feed for more money, worse UI than BB2 even after having beta feedback. Game took 8 years and was delayed 2 years and the didn’t do a good job even with all of that. Won’t purchase, Won’t watch! Sorry Cknoor, I still love you, can’t support this one…

So let's go over those claims real quick, not because I don't have opinions about the state of the game. But more that I don't fall for rage bait. If they game took 8 years to develop then they would have started development before they had finished developing BB2, which seems like a bit of a stretch. All microtransactions are for cosmetic items, while they should have been more clear with the implementation, it's still just cosmetics, it has no impact on gameplay. That to me is still in the range of "better" than "bad" No content is currently "locked" what the datamines found are art assets for future teams, this is expected and nothing new. We knew they had plans to release more teams after launch. The UI does some thing better than BB2, somethings worse than BB2. Very similar to the launch of BB2 after BB1 Please stop falling for ragebait, with that said, it's totally fair to wait and try the game when more content has been released or whenever really. But please don't fall for rage bait.

To be fair, I don’t watch a ton of Yong Yea, it probably popped up in my feed because it was BB3. I will watch your videos, if what you say is correct, there is no need to boycott… I in no way claim to be an expert, which is why I deferred to his video, possibly a mistake.
