When people say Kyrie should've gotten finals MVP or that Steph was better than LeBron, that stat line was all you needed to know. LeBron is the only player to ever lead both teams in a playoff series in points, rebounds, assists, steals, and blocks. There were players whose main roles on the team were just to score, just to rebound, just to play make, or just to defend. Nobody did more than LeBron. He didn't do it in the first round against a fringe playoff team either. He did it in the NBA finals against a two-time consecutive and first unanimous league MVP on a 73-9 team, the best record in NBA history, to bring the first major professional sports title to an entire city in over half a century by being the first and only finals team to ever succesfully come back from a 3-1 deficit.

Best team is like 80's Lakers, Celtics, 2017 Warriors and Cavs, Kobe & Shaq Lakers. 73-9 Warriors and 72-10 Bulls weren't best teams,, they were there and got that record due to their main man (Curry & MJ) mostly while the others also chirped in. But from top to bottom roster wise, those teams that I mentioned all had better teams than those 2 teams (2016 Warriors & 1996 Bulls).

Here’s where I disagree: when the Warriors were relatively healthy, the Warriors were up 3-1, and that’s with Steph playing on a bad wheel. Everyone remembers that Draymond got suspended for game 5, but no one remember that Bogut got hurt early in game 5 and missed the remainder of the series. Iguodala also played the second half of the series injured… this isn’t an attempt to put an asterisk on the Cavs title. They earned it. But, the narrative surrounding that title has become how Herculean an effort and amazing accomplishment it was to come back from the 73 win Warriors team after going down 3-1. The truth is, the Warriors were a shell of that team by the second half of that series. The Warriors lost the battle of attrition, similar to how the Cavs lost it the previous year with Kyrie and Love both injured. If both teams are healthy, the Warriors win that series in maybe 5 games but definitely 6. The Cavs victory isn’t what the narrative suggests

Those comparisons are very stupid. It's not like the Bills ever won. Lebron won 4 championships with 4 finals MVPs. Only MJ has that. He's a champion how can you compare with the Bills lol. If he had won any more in his 10 finals (2,3 more) there wouldnt even be a debate

LeBron stepped over Draymond proving Draymond (he was on good behavior in the series until that point), which led to the 1 game suspension for Game 5 and that created a momentum shift in the series. Bogut also got a series ending injury in Game 5.

@@skywalker2759If you watched that particular game 5 it was actually big. Draymond usually can replace his rim-protecting role despite his size. But his inavailability due to that controversial suspension means that Bogut gotta play more minutes for them to fill that role. Kyrie and Bron didn't go berserk and only scored few points in the paint in that first half. Thing drastically changed when Bogut injury happened in the start of that game's 2nd half, and Lebron and Kyrie toyed with Ezeli that whole half by getting free access to the paint. It's pretty well-recorded for anyone who really watched that game without no bias dude. Bogut's absence would've been more manageable had Draymond was there doing his usual thing despite his undersized nature.

People dont realize one inportant part of the finals... That Harrison Barnes being a terrible shot. It allowed Lebron to play roaming defense since he knew Barnes wasnt going to shoot the ball. It allowed him to back off and help on defense. Hence the reason why the warriors Upgraded. 😅 wild they went from Peashooter Barnes to a fricking Nuke in KD. After that bron knew he had no chance. But i givw him credit cause that secons final meeting between them he balled out till Jr hit us with rhat meme

While I have to give them their flowers, it took a momentum shift for them to win. Suspension + injury. Don't debate me here. Plus, I would consider Bron the GOAT if he beat the '17 Warriors with KD. And Kyrie is still an all-star despite nominally he wasn't in 2016.
