Many of my cutest decor came from dollar general. Love their flowers and fairy garden section. Their storage containers, shower curtain grommets, etc make for a really cute enclosure. Just need to source the tule netting from an outside source for the ventilation holes.

Lol my MIL (who supports my tarantula interest but Does Not Want To See Them At All), came to my room today (i spent the night) and said she had a brown recluse trapped in a jar she found in the other guest room. In western Oregon XD . It was a "Giant House Spider" and had entirely too much leg so i released it outside and told MIL the closest brown recluse MIGHT be if someone had one in a private collection, otherwise hundreds of miles away

For Michael's specifically, they ALWAYS have a 20% off Regular Price item coupon on their mobile app. Just give them your email address then unsubscribe from any marketing emails they send you, then whenever you go you always have a coupon available for 1 item not on sale. 👍 I finally was able to make a little arrangement inside my jumpers' enclosures, and my shy girl felt comfortable enough after it to start exploring her enclosure more! I find fake flowers, leaves, and moss don't mold as easily. And you can get safe fake flowers not made out of fabric so they're even less likely to mold. I've been liking sculpting my own items with clay. The key for most items, especially if you paint them, is to make sure they are sealed properly, are COMPLETELY dry, and have been airating for several days (so no fumes). As long as you use your brain, and like to make things or are crafty, you can make some really neat stuff by hand for enclosures. ☺ TY for all your videos, Kat. It's been mostly videos from you and Clint that sparked me getting jumpers, and now I have 2! ♥ Tarantula Cribs also has excellent customer service. I had an issue with an enclosure I received, and they not only addressed the issue but sent me an additional enclosure. 11/10 experience.

I have a Pseudhapalopus sp Columbia sling in one of those clear mini paint can. It's worked out so well so far and the lid was thin enough to drill ventilation. It's made a burrow so I know it's happy.

I found the best way to make holes in harder acrylic is to heat up an awl in an open flame & then while still hot push it through the acrylic, it needs to get red hot! Doing on a gas cooker is best so you can rest the awl in the flame.

I actually modified one of the glass coffins last year to a enclosure, I broke out the two top sides and replaced them with screen door patches for ventilation. I removed the door chain and glued a velcro latch on the middle of the left long panel. I have a female emerald jumping spider in the enclosure with purple flowers and black gothic branches.

I just bought stuff to make an enclosure for my jumping spider from Dollar Tree. It's gonna take some work since I bought one of the lanterns that are technically $5. The sides are open, but I got some acrylic frames I'm going to cut. Then of course all the decor is Halloween. It's going to be a fun project.

For added safety you could Mod Podge the miniatures you find (especially at Dollar Tree). We just don't know what kind of chemicals can linger on them that could kill a spider.

That moss is actually dyed with nasty chemicals. I bought it for my plants and it leaked all kinds of green paint into my plant. I suspect it killed one of my plants. You should name her Michaela :). Also, I just started putting mod podge on my silk plants for my jumpers. I think it will keep them from getting ratty, and help them thrive longer. I use storage containers, a hole saw, shower curtain grommets, and tule for skirts as ventilation holes. Makes for really cute enclosures that look “professional” without the cost.

Dude they have this badass glass coffin terrarium on-sale there for like 20$ online.. It has a glass hinge door but dude if you have a thing to drill into the glass? Idk if it would shatter.. But if nothing else I figure you can take that front panel out of the black metal frame & take screen material & do it like that. If I wasn't broke,I would legit order everything right now.
