I’m looking forward to see how your cooks come out. I have the Titan version that you mentioned. That doesn’t offer a rotisserie version that I remember. I do already have the Weber rotisserie for the kettle but your choice is a much more cost effective way to get both cooking options. I’m curious to see if you experience any binding when raising and lowering the grate when loaded. The Titan requires you to really keep food weight evenly balanced on the grill. I’ve been having a ton of fun with mine. Hope you enjoy this as well!
@DrTasteGoodBBQ4 жыл бұрын
Super cool! It is so much fun to use. I’m still playing around with fire management. The track on this one limits the flex/tilt, but it does tilt a bit. I haven’t had any binding to this point. Just loving it so far. Guess you could say it’s an invigorating grilling experience. Thanks a lot for watching and taking the time to comment.

This is the exact video I needed to watch, thanks for taking the time and sharing. Just a couple of quick questions, is there a weight limit for those thin wires? Are they removable for a thicker option?
@DrTasteGoodBBQ3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for checking it out. I don’t have an official weight limit for you. What I do know is after about 50 cooks I haven’t reached it yet. The way that the wire system is set up this is the only size that fits it. I have adjusted the wires a couple of times that is real easy to do. Other than that the small wires work just fine.

@@DrTasteGoodBBQ thanks a lot that’s really helpful to know I’m looking forward to get one, I hope they keep building them. This is really similar to Argentinian gaucho grill which very different to American grilling style. Still, love it.

I just purchased the same exact item however I can't get the grille to crank back down using the handle. The wire unwinds around the steel rod then wraps back up on it to continue to raise it. I have to push it down by hand. Any suggestions on what to do? Appreciate your responses
@DrTasteGoodBBQ3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for checking it out. I’ve not run into that. #1 I would contact OnlyFire and ask them. I don’t represent them or their product. If you want a normal Dude in the backyards opinion I would say the wires are crossed. With weight on mine it goes down too fast if I let go of the handle. If you have an IG hit me up @drtastegoodbbq with some pictures and I’ll see if anything is off. 🍻
@TheDjguns20013 жыл бұрын
@@DrTasteGoodBBQ I even pulled the cable wire tight like you did in your video thinking that was the problem. It's almost as if the cable needs to be stiff and the slide brackets operate independently. I did reach out to the manufacturer with photos so I'll probably have to wait until Monday for a response. Enjoy your weekend
@DrTasteGoodBBQ3 жыл бұрын
Best wishes. Mine aren’t that tight anymore an it still works. I hope they get you taken care of.

How stable is the top grate? Do you have to keep everything kind of centered or is it stable enough to keep steaks only on one side?
@DrTasteGoodBBQ3 жыл бұрын
There is some flex. Without cracking bout a tape measure I would say no more than a 1/4 inch. The track on the side makes it so this is the maximum it can be. I’ve been trying to cook balanced, but I don’t have any fear of the food falling off if it’s out of balance. Hope that answered your question.

Thanks for sharing and great reveal. I don't know if you have an affiliate link and if not, I can wait, but I checked out Amazon link provided and I think I may want to get this. What do you think your first use of the grate will be (e.g. vegetables, kebobs, or something else)? Just curious. But again, thanks as always for doing your due diligence and 100% I'm gonna get this, but like I said no necessary rush, but I'd rather use your affiliate link if you get that going (just let me know)! Have a good one though and I always enjoy your videos.

Thanks! The two links I have in there are my custom links. I think I set it up correctly. Still trying to fully figure that part out. So far I have done tri-tip, asparagus, mushrooms, chicken thighs and corn. It is super fun to cook on. Have another walk around, features and benefits and some theories on how to cook on it dropping Wednesday. Super happy with it.

Can it hold the weight of a Lodge iron pot with it full?
@DrTasteGoodBBQ2 жыл бұрын
I would recommend reaching out to OnlyFire for their weight restrictions. When I saw your comment I did put a full propane tank on the grate at its lowest setting and it held. (Unofficial test) again I would recommend contacting OnlyFire.
