While I get what you're saying about the rivets I've never had an issue with mine in the 2.5+ years I've owned it. Neither lump or briquets have been an issue, even with a fully lit basket. That being said I would trust American rivets over Chinesium welds any day of the week, regardless of the use case. All that aside this rotisserie looks to be a solid investment at half the price of the Weber, thanks for the info and review.

From experience. Find a good chicken. Bank charcoal on one side only, (A must heat like binary, on, off, with the lid on you will get convection cooking as well, but a gentle heat,)
