Until Erin said it I had NO idea nest units could switch between heat and AC on their own! It has been a complaint I've had about hvac thermostats for decades that I had absolutely no idea had FINALLY been solved!
@eb60607 күн бұрын
@@jasonhunter2819is that true though? Erin seemed to not understand that in order to raise the temp in the house when it’s cold outside- the heat would need to come on. Carly was saying it gets into the low 60’s when she turns off her AC- and she does not want to turn her heat on because it gets too warm.
@lsharp287 күн бұрын
Right hahahah! I have a Nest and I just set it tot he temp and I don't know the mechanics but it does whatever it must do (AC or heat) to keep it at the temperature I have set - all year - and I'm in Canada so there's quite drastic temperature changes.
@jasonhunter28196 күн бұрын
@@eb6060 I think what Erin was communicating was that they just set the nest to the temperature they want and it handles it from there, hot or cold...but Erin's house is a ranch style so she doesn't have the kind of temperature differential Carly does which...Carly probably should look into adding some attic vents so there isn't a huge heat build up upstairs
@codys30846 күн бұрын
Erin was def spot on in this argument - it’s not really anyone else’s job to keep reminding you of dates because you’re actively avoiding taking 3 seconds to put them in the calendar app. To be fair they did say it wasn’t a pattern though, but since it’s already happened why even risk it happening more often?

I just learned from a maintenance man that the best thing is to put the dishwasher pods into the silverware thing because throwing it in the bottom makes the soap go away too quickly. Works for me if anyone else has dishwasher issues!

mine told me the same thing and said the washer does a rinse cycle before actually washing the dishes

I only use a calendar for work stuff . But I’m not manually adding stuff to it. Whenever a meeting gets scheduled, it pops up. My personal life, I don’t own a calendar. But I also never forget about when I have events coming up
@emmz19876 күн бұрын
I used to throw my dishwashing pods in the bottom of the dishwasher then i saw a tiktok that said never do this coz the compartment is timed to release on a certain cycle, and the initial cycle is just rising the dishes before adding the tablet/pod. Ultimately if you throw the pod into the washer the dishes are only being cleaned with hot water as the soap gets dissolved and drained in the initial rinse cycle. i stopped chucking it in and used the compartment after that. I suppose its there for a reason.

@@m2412 I’m team Carly on this one- ESPECIALLY if Erin is suggesting a paper calendar! I could NOT. I work a corporate desk job and we all have our meetings on our calendars in Outlook and AT LEAST weekly we have some kind of conversation about “when is that?” “What time does it start” “where is this going to be held” “we need to get started on this because the presentation is tomorrow” kind of conversations. Totally normal!

Erin made me irrationally angry with how she was putting down Carly and then when Carly said you’re making me feel a certain way and Erin snaps and says “IM not making you feel ANY way.” and started laughing. Like maybe Carly doesn’t see through your bullshit but you can’t just insult someone and then laugh it off like it’s a joke. And to say you’re not making someone feel a certain way, but she’s literally telling you that you ARE making her feel that way. Anytime Carly stands up for herself(which is something Erin has encouraged for YEARS) Erin will snap and say something snarky then just giggle to cover up the bitchiness. It’s insufferable.

@@cheyennewhitesides7644 Thisss! Erin constantly belittles Carly, and it’s so frustrating how she always acts like her opinion is the only valid one. If anyone dares to disagree, she immediately tries to make them feel dumb. It’s like she has a need to assert dominance in every conversation. She does this on good influences too and it’s hard to listen to sometimes but the others make it worth it.

Carly, it has to do with where your thermostat is. It’s regulated off the temp of that room. But you can buy Nest sensors. So you could have one in your room and it’ll regulate based on the temp of your room during only the hours you set it for!

I used to be a heavy journalist lol once I left for college.(2015) It was almost everyday I would make an entry. I journaled for about 4 years strong and then i got overwhelmed and busy with life, so I stopped. One day during 2020 quarantine, I found my journals, about 5 of them. And I sifted through them, not realizing how much shit and ups and downs I really went thru at such a young age. Fast forward to 2022, when I had my 2 or 3rd therapy session, my therapist informed my that journaling is a great alternative to therapy. Since you are writing down your thoughts and ideas, your brain is reprocessing the information that floats around your head and to help understand those thoughts (intrusive, positive, negative, conscious and subconscious thoughts) I never knew why I started to journal at such a young age, but it made much sense given my lore lol. Who ever is reading this I hope you consider journaling if you cannot access a therapist or if you are journaling, try accessing a therapist if you are able too. Hope this helps! Happy Thanksgiving 🦃🍽
