I felt the same way! But then I started deep conditioning weekly, like religiously. I tried argan oil and the mane choice braid out glaze and sealing cream in my hair. My hair was so shiny and felt and looked better than usual. I still normally LCO especially going into the winter now, but saying all that to say sometimes it can work. I was thinking too like I thought water and oil don’t mix 🤔. But it worked!

Hey jess!!! #HAIRGOALS first of all lol but are you sure your still low porosity? Color treated hair is usually raises your porosity because the permanent color had to lift your cuticle to color your strands. I’m a stylist and fellow red head (gang gang), but I found it interesting that your still low porosity after being colored

Girl, my low porosity hair is set up like yours-hard to get the moisture in and then quick for the moisture to leave out. I was so confused because everyone was saying with this type of hair once the moisture is in it stays, so it's good to see someone else in the same boat. I was moisturizing my daughter's hair today and was so jealous at how the products just melted into her hair! Lol! I do the LCO method as well on my hair.

Thats because youre really high porosity. Moisture goes in and comes back out is high porosity. Moisture that sits on top of the hair strands is low porosity.

Extreme Metal Thiccums What cream do you use? Also what lotion? I use pink lotion.. And I use coconut oil grease from blue magic and sometimes Africa’s Best grease.

So doesn't that mean you have high porosity hair..? High absorbs moisture well but doesn't retain it for very long so you have to moisturized more often.

I’m 4 years natural and been doing the LCO method. It’s worked well. I have medium density, type 4 low porosity hair. But y’all I tried the mane choice Tropical Moringa sealing cream and braid out glaze with argan oil, but I used the oil using the LOC and it made a world of difference 😱. I was a believer for a second but maybe my hair just likes argan oil, but it worked for me y’all so just experiment and try. Jess yes to the growth!!! 😍😍😍, you wear by that mane choice oil, I’m going pick it up!

The Shea yogurt moisturizer is a sealant. There is no water in it. I don’t understand why it’s marketed as a moisturizer. It’s one of my favorite sealants. Especially in the winter time.

Hey! Moisture going in and out of the hair is the definition of high porosity hair. Your hair is also color treated which lifts the cuticle. You are likely to have a mixture of porosities.

I used to try loc method on my hair but never got any benefits or results from it until I learned because I have low porosity hair,so it my hair struggles to aborsbs moisture and gets dry pretty fast 😀, and now I also learned that, “LOC method is for high porosity hair and LCO method is for low porosity hair so I’m so excited to try this 🥰

I think you have high porosity hair. It absorbs moister well but it doesn't retain it for long so you have to moisturized more. My daughter has hair like yours.

I am quite happy I found you because my hair is similar to yours. However, It takes time to grow due to my younger days of having alopecia. I realized a few months ago my hair was super soggy and i stopped using shampoo period and decided to switch to cowash and timely protein treatments. I don't usually moisturize until a week after I've oiled but maybe I'll check my porosity. I'll be on the look out for more miss. Thanks again for the video.. 😊

The LOC method is strictly for ladies with high porosity. High porosity hair , the opposite of low porosity, drinks up moisture super fast but then it gets away just as quick. So High Porosity girls need the LOC method because they moisturize, and its sure to get in, but then they seal it so it doesn't leave, and then moisturize more on top of the sealant to ensure that nothing is going anywhere. Ladies with normal porosity may be able to use either method that works for them.

That's what I thought too. Most of my journey I've done lco because it makes logical sense to me. Like, of course you would seal in cream products, obviously! But I tried the loc & my hair proved me wrong. Idk why but that's what my hair likes even though I think she's trippin & needs to go take another science lesson.
