Cheating woman is actually a cover, which is why it sounds so different. Love the choreo tho. The best b side imo is dOra maar which has an amazing dance practice. You should also check out their dance covers for Malamente and Megan Thee Stallion's Savage if you haven't already.

I dont think Cheating Woman counts as a cover since they own the rights to their version of the song. Its a recreation/reinterpretation. Just like their version of Money by Dawn!

Hey! Thanks for checking out more OnlyOneOf ❤ As a bit of a trivia, tear Of gOd is the last song of their Instinct Part. 1 album and it wraps up a storyline about a boy giving into "temptation" and one's forbidden desires, as we know from libidO lol, so here this boy is basically saying he can't stop his lust for another boy and asking forgiveness to a God or maybe even to himself. I'm saying it's a boy cuz that's OOO's theme but also from their intro of the same album called "the bOy in cOmme des garçOns" :) I suggest diving deeper into the meaning of their songs and albums, it's really interesting. I agree. For my interpretation of the song. The boy is acknowledging the way lust calls him in, as seen in the line. “Even if I push you out, it pulls me in more.” I also feel like they were describing the garden of Eden. When they said “for biting off an apple, the wings of eternity that I miss.” The fruit of good and evil is a lot of times interpreted as an apple in certain art forms. And it’s evident that Adam and Eve lost eternity after eating the forbidden fruit. “Swallow it and steal me, could also refer to the swallowing forbidden fruit and being taken out of (stolen) from Eden.also with the line “close your eyes and see a hidden paradise, it seems to lose me.” The paradise could refer to The Garden of Eden They also say they have no control and are scared. And they are covered in broken hope. This could mean they hope to return to the Paradise and stop the lust. But that hope is broken because they are unsure. The tear of God is the sadness God feels when people sin. Mills’ rap to me seems like he is talking to God saying “dimension is irresistible( meaning measurable things are tempting) your are questions (meaning God is hard to understand and only raises questions). He also says “I can’t escape pain mixed with you” this could mean the pain and difficulty that is involved in following God’s Laws. And at they end of it all the boy is asking for forgiveness from God.

Ok so about tear of god: this may not make a lot of sense and it is a bit of a generalized interpretation and there are multiple but this is roughly what the common interpretation is from what i’ve seen and what i think as well tear of gOd is about religious guilt- since it’s from instinct part 1, it follows the storyline and general themes of the album which revolves around desire, lust, sexual attraction, libido, these natural human instincts (hence the title) that are often seen as taboo and shameful, so in this song the singer has felt lust, given into his desires and indulged and feels religious guilt and shame for indulging in like “sinful behavior” essentially, and given the queer themes of the libidO mv plus onlyoneof’s overall queer themes present since debut, many of us factor that in as well, so not only is the singer feeling religious guilt about sex/sexual desire but ALSO because of feeling these feelings towards another man, indulging in these desires with another man, this is kinda the rocky part of the subject’s story of discovering sexuality/libido basically feeling like it’s too late to turn back now after the initial discovery/experimentation in libido and further giving into his desires and love in instinct and byredO, kinda delving into the shame around these subjects onlyoneof try to normalize :) I really recommend listening to the entire instinct p. 1 album while reading the lyrics and see how you personally interpret it all together including the libido mv, that album is truly a work of art and it is meant to tell a story (seoul collection does this as well)

tear Of gOd, for me, is a song about mixed feelings. As we all know, it belongs to the album "Instinct, pt 1" and i personally see the whole album as a coming of age gay album, where a teen boy starts discovering himself. I interpret that the person is a teen judging by the lyrics of this song (im mentioning it later in the paragraph) and libidO ("im attracted to you for no reason" points to someone exploring their sexuality, prolly a teen). tear Of gOd is about religious guilt and gaslighting. The singer or in our case, our teen guy feels bad cuz he has heard ppl say being gay is a sin. But the lyrics suggest he is happy with the kinda person he is and the kind of lover he has. He finds comfort in his lover, even tho he feels loving a guy is a sin and temptation (hence the biting of an apple and losing wings of eternity refrence). The main line, "i cant stop my lust" is a loud message that he aint gonna change, even if the world calls his feelings of love as lust. And a small detail, in Mill's rap, "purple colour will rise, take it now" means forgiveness will be given by god, as purple is a symbol of repentance and forgiveness (hence worn during Lent). This means our guy feels optimist sometimes that he might be forgiven just for simply loving another guy. Then again, his sad thoughts appear. These constant mood swings show he is a teen, discovering things for the first time. Also the bridge consists of music only, which gradually increases, indicating the immese confusion and thinking the guy is doing in order to be happy, rethinking all the religious "ideals". At the end, the chorus says "i cant stop my lust" as he decided that he cant stop himself from being him, and he applogises to god for that throughout the whole song. Personally I absolutely LOVED the concept and the biblical refrences even tho im not even a christian, and the way they executed it. Props to them for making us queer people comfortable in ourselves and making a song so relatable as these thoughts are faced by every queer person at least once. Zarui Onna (Cheating Woman) is a cover (Sharam Q) - the original is jazzy and upbeat. In the OnlyOneOf version, the BPM is slightly less than the original and more vocal/dance oriented, which suits the group. You wouldn't know it was practically a typhoon outside the MV studio the day they were shooting but it was hot and they were grateful not to have to wear too much (not Rie wearing a sweater!!). The song was a gift to Japanese lyOns and opened the shows on their Japan tour. Edit: OOO did not perform b-sides from seOul cOllection on the Grand America tour, they just didn't. But they did do candy bOmb at their Seoul concert, you can check out the dance practice and clips from the performance from vlogs on their official KZbin website.

Finally coming back to see more OOO on your channel ! Thank you so much for this new reaction !!! Loved your reaction when seeing the MV of "Cheating woman" ! The settings are beautiful, they look like they come from a movie about royalty, taking place in a castle/manoir full of precious and expensive goods (which will make sense when you'll check out the lyrics for the song). And the guys look absolutely stunning as well, especially with those outfits ! Their little smiles while dancing were sending me x'D Love the delicacy and symbolism in the choreo too. The dancebreak especially impressed me when seeing the MV when it came out, it's just so satisfying to watch and to listen to !!! Such a nice switch up in the song, and Yoojung doing a freakin split like it's nothing still rents free in my mind to this day x'D As other people already explained in the comments, it's a cover-remix/reinterpretation of a 1995 song by J-pop band Sharam Q. Think it's nice that they kept the retro vibes and jazzy sound in the rendition of the song. "Cheating woman" is also linked to another Japanese song made by OOO which was released shortly after this one : it's called "Hidoi Otoko" which translates to "Terrible man". This one isn't a cover but an original song by OOO. In both songs, the narrator tells us about the unfairness, coldness and cruelty of their partner - a female partner in "Cheating woman" and a male partner in "Terrible man". Through these 2 songs, OOO are continuing to explore the themes of ambivalent love and toxic relationships. Furthermore, "Terrible man" is also linked to the OOO song "blueblueseOul" from their latest album. At first listen, it merely sounds like a Korean version of "Terrible man". But the Korean lyrics actually add a slightly different meaning to the song compared to the original Japanese version : this time, the narrator and their partner have already parted ways, the song holding feelings of nostalgia and regret. It could also be that the narrator of "blueblueseOul" is actually the "cheating woman" or "terrible man" described in the 2 previous tracks, considering the lyrics "I hope you hug me, who is selfish" or "I'll try to smile a little more for you who comforted me and cared for me". i found this song to be especially poetic compared to the other 2, and knowing that Nine wrote it himself makes it even more special ! He's such a talented lyricist. As for "mirage", it's also one of my fave tracks from them along with "nabi" and a couple other songs :) the instrumental is very pleasant to listen to, with chillwave vibes that are not very dissimilar to lofi hip-hop imo. Love the nice touch of piano in there too, it makes me think about some oldie music from the early 20th century. Very interesting and rich composition. And i agree that the vocals are absolutely gorgeous on this one. Always appreciate that OOO keep experimenting with their music, notably by adding multiple effects on their singing, but hearing their natural and raw voices is just so freakin great. It definitely suits the mood of the song, very nostalgic and bittersweet sounding... i feel like it's the perfect track to play at the end of summer, hanging out on the beach as the sun sets. "tear Of gOd" is another interesting one, both instrumental-wise and lyrically. Most of OOO's music is very experimental and unique, and this song is a perfect example of that. In fact, the group and their producers have refered to their music as belonging to the genres of "art pop" and alternative/contemporary R&B several times. As for the meaning of the song, it has been very well explained by other viewers in the comment section. One possible interpretation could be that the narrator is confessing his sin of lust and asking for the god's forgiveness - he hopes that the god's tears, shed upon hearing the narrator's despair and treason, will cleanse his soul and erase his sin. Fun fact, here the members are singing with especially high tone, trying to reach female key, while the song also incorporates a synthetized voice to represent the god's voice and their answer to the narrator's prayer. But keep in mind that OOO's songs are always very deliberately unclear. Just like "tear Of gOd", they're often full of metaphors, references and double meanings, so they remain quite open to various interpretations. All the listeners are encouraged to form their own understanding and theories, and it's always fun to discuss ! Purple is my fave colour as well ! And once again, the mention of this color in the song can lead to various reflections and can play a huge role in the way you interpret the song. It's a colour of ambiguity by excellence. A union of opposite concepts, just like as you get purple by mixing red and blue : depending on the context, it can be a symbol of wisdom, spirituality, piety and penitence, but also of material wealth, mystery, cunning and seduction. Very fitting for a song dealing with religion, faith and confession but also with lust and desire. imo, it shows how the narrator is becoming a more and more complex being with ambivalent feelings, thoughts and behaviors through a process of self-discovery and self-reflection, as he comes to experience physical intimacy and newfound pleasure and desire that clashes against his belief and faith. It's like he's confessing his sin while acknowledging that it's now too late to turn back, and wondering if what he considers as a sin that he committed really means that his god will turn his back to him. It's also rather interesting to note that this purple colour could be an image for bisexuality (an idea that was for instance explored by lyOn youtuber choerim through a video analysis on OOO's Instinct album... very interesting analysis imo). Finally, talking about "nabi"... i'm also totally head over heels for this song, it's just so pretty, delicate and dream-like just like a butterfly ! And the lyrics are super poetic too... you won't be surprised if i tell you that Nine and KB wrote the lyrics for this one x') they're really beautiful but also sad in a way. As you figured out, it was indeed released in the album "seOul cOllectiOn" like "mirage", and that album came out after their US tour. Completely agree with you on the similarities of "mirage" and "nabi" when it comes to music composition/genre, vibes and use of instruments, they're sonically the 2 sides of the same coin. Love the instrumentals in both songs, the guitar is especially a nice addition to the song and is just so good to listen too... very chill and lofi sounding once again. omg i love tear of God, it's important to remember in ooos lore tht most of the time any religious figure or higher being is used to refer to women and the push of heterosexuality in Christianity. they always fall back into a relationship with a women after feeling guilty and they see it as a way to get to heaven almost. I remember you pointed out the song angel and it's exactly that lol.
