Thank you SO MUCH for showing a clear image of southern blight/the precursor of it. Earlier this year I struggled to find images of it on tropicals because I was afraid I might have had some issues with it and it’s made me incredibly paranoid about my plant care all year. Ultimately I don’t think that’s what it was, but the situation did make me a lot more conscious of practicing good sterilization of surfaces and gardening supplies to prevent any cross contamination and I discovered physan 20 as a good disinfectant for gardening stuff. Your attitude about it calms me down a lot and I want to thank you for that as well!! Everything I could find on the subject indicated that I basically needed to destroy all my plants/supplies and it caused me soooo much stress and worry and I was so sad. However, I’m glad that I chose to wait and see what happened and all has greatly improved 🤗🤗

Good day, I went plant shopping
@jovanessavf1643 жыл бұрын
I have the same idea- there's an empty lot here that the owner's caretaker totally neglects and it has become a jungle. The property has been totally useless for years. I'm thinking of asking them if I could garden in there and the ex-deal is that their property gets actually maintained. My only concern is if I lose some plants if the caretaker helps himself to them, especially with the plant craze these days. But yes, there are people who do this here. I live in the garden district and most of my neighbors actually ask permission from empty lot owners to use the property temporarily as a garden. Some of them rent the lot, but most of them don't have to pay, they just do an ex-deal like what I have in mind- I get a nursery, you get your property maintained. :)

Whoaaa that is cool. Im not sure if my neighbours are that thoughtful and open minded

Hi Sean, is it really safe to not put any fungicide pasta or bactericide stuff or let it callus for a moment? and just cut away and stick it into the medium??

I cut and put in medium straight. If its a fussy plant, or a thick woody trunk, I may rub some activated charcoal powder on the wound.
