Thanks for the great video. My syngonium white butterfly died of root rot a few months ago. So recently I got another 2 pots. I recently put one pot outdoors under mass cane. I practically buried the pot into the soil of the mass cane pot and 2 days later they were wilty. I guessed the holes of the syngonium pot was stuffed and I have root rot again. So now I just took it all out and plant in the pot of the mass cane. Hopefully it lives.

Hello, no callous, just stick them in. Dont change the water as they do release natural rooting hormone into the water. Change it only when it gets really gross, say in 3 weeks time 😀 i have a video titled “water propagation” that shows you tips to increase success rate

I've gone syngonium crazy, lol. I used to not like arrowhead and thought they were boring like a old pothos but they are so easy. I trail them or some under grow lights will grow strong straight up. When it's ready to be cut can tell. The nodes let me know.

I have 2 questions 1. If there is dry out aerial roots, will new roots develop from that aerial roots or is it better to cut that out cause it looks dead? 2. I heard if you seal the both end stems with wax it will prevent stem rot from water propagation, what’s your idea on that? But I wonder how cutting will suck the water up to keep the leave alive
@onlyplants2 жыл бұрын
1. No they wont unfortunately. Best to cut it back until you see any fresh and live roots where possible. Sometimes you have none but the cutting can still put out a new bud, which will put out its own set of aerial roots.
@onlyplants2 жыл бұрын
2. Ive always wondered about that too cuz the stem do need to take in moisture to support the leaf and the new bud
