“What could we add to the scene to make it perfect?” - Hmm… we cast Melissa McCarthy as Hela. lol But seriously, I don’t know. “Why? That’s a great idea!” - What?! No, it’s not! Please don’t do that! “Oh we will!” - Oh no… 😂

During this movie I felt like listening to a long joke without a punchline. I was waiting the whole time for something. It was like every scene started but didn’t really have end. Or purpose. It was just there, something happening on the screen. Empty is a good way of putting it. There were no payoffs.

None whatsoever, lol. That's why I'm not looking forward to watching it again, lol.

Really happy you’re doing the Drinker’s stuff now. He has been the biggest breath of fresh air with movie critics for a long time. He doesn’t just insult a poorly made film, he magically articulates his opinions with such sound logic that it becomes irrefutable. All while putting a smile on our faces. Thanks Mike!

Nah his reviews have become trash lately, recycling the same stale jokes and it's predictable on what he's going to like or dislike. His prime was 2020.
@theonlybigmorg2 жыл бұрын
@@spawncampe I feel like he recycles the same jokes because movies these days are just mostly recycled shit. 2020 he was more just shitting on bad movies, I'd say his prime was 2021, he actually reviewed movies from a writer's stand point and would still shit on the movies while being funny.

The sad thing is, there was a really interesting movie buried deep in there somewhere, but they just kept shoveling jokes and buffoonery over it until they managed to successfully hide it. And now that's Dr. Strange, Thor, and Hulk all basically turned into clowns. I'm sensing a trend. I didn't watch Hawkeye, so I don't really know if he got the same treatment, but he's not among the most powerful men in the MCU, so he's probably considered harmless.

I love that you rarely if ever stop your videos for long responses or as some do, stop and repeat what drinker said in a "I noticed that too, and was wondering why they added it." Type of pause. (Not just drinker reactions either) As for the film, After Dr Strange 2 and No Way Home made another favorite dumber and weaker, also Wanda just goes Dani crazy from GoT season 8, love and thunder buried the chance to watch more for now. Only Deadpool 3 and GOTG Vol 3 will I bother with. Sorry for long comment. Love your reactions as I have no one to share these with, it's nice to see someone watch them for the first time, and your laugh and other reactions make it even better.

"I left the theater and I just felt...empty." I hate that feeling. I remember feeling that for Godzilla 2014. I was so hyped because Godzilla was coming back after 10 years (and with a Hollywood budget!), but at the end of the day it wasn't what I was hoping for. And, of course, I felt the same with Love and Thunder for all the reasons stated in the video and more. I was hoping for Ragnarok 2 but that just didn't happen.

His original comedy vampire movie was great and I agree with Drinker that he's a wildly creative guy but without "supervision" it really showed his weird mind on screen, and it cost his job for the next one. And Drinker will be on FNT this Friday on nerdrotic and I will be checking put for sure. Have a good one yall

Every phase 4 movie except for NWH has left me feeling somewhere between nothing and deeply disappointed. At this point, I am soo invested in the world and the characters, and it hurts when the movies suck. The feeling that I am having is similar to the feeling I had when watching G.O.T., except I am feeling that feeling every couple of months
@spawncampe2 жыл бұрын
Why does everyone love No Way Home so much? For me it's not even top 5 for phase 4 projects. I definitely prefer Loki, Moon Knight, Shang Chi, Multiverse of Madness, and Hawkeye over NWH.

I enjoyed it for what it is, though I have no want or need to watch it again. For me, there hasn't been any show or movie in the MCU that I thought was just bad. This was definitely a lower ranking film for me in the universe but still glad I watched it.

It may be an unpopular opinion, and I’ll be the first to admit I’m slightly biased as a diehard Marvel fan, but I truly enjoyed Love and Thunder. It certainly had its flaws, and you talked about most of them here, I can’t say it was perfect. But I still really enjoyed the film. EDIT: Definitely enjoyed Ragnarok more

I can’t believe Feige would approve this. The whole movie felt like a parody and a wasted opportunity to make a good movie? I didn’t hate it, but I’m never watching it again.
@brettl.6831 Жыл бұрын
This movie was a horrendously wasted opportunity. Taika is one of my favorite directors, but I would’ve preferred he work on the sequel to “what we do in the shadows”. Put This movie in the hands of someone who can capitalize on the talent in the movie. The multiple different stories they incorporated. As well as give Thor the time to really process things. Thor lost his family and his home. He lost a massive amount, yet the skip over all of it. That’s my opinion anyway.

As a counterpoint to Critical Drinker, I think this video actually does an amazing job at portraying how he purposefully (or ignorantly) misrepresents or generally misses basic information about the subject matter he discusses in a lazy attempt to appeal to the anti SJW crowd. kzbin.info/www/bejne/bKuYgalojL-lntE I just cannot take that loser seriously. You can immediately tell what his opinions on a show will be based on if it has a white man as the lead or not.
