Onn FRS Two-way Radio Test

Trying out Walmart's FRS radio. 2 FRS radios with 22 channels at 0.5 watts.
Note: I wanted to clarify the correction of my measurements. In the video, I explain that I estimated distance based on a football field and said "500 yards." While I understand a football field is 100 yards, I was simply explaining that I used a football field to measure out distance.

Long press the light button & you have WX band. We use this radio on our Mini-Farm & it's working for that. Works best outside. But I can call from inside the house & we have a tin roof that eats radio signals.

@@colonel9990 Thanks! I played around with it and figured that out. I knew it had to do something else. I can imagine the tin roof will act like a faraday cage. Thanks for watching!

@@RadioCheckk Tin roof does act somewhat like a faraday cage. Outside, I have full bars on my cell signal. Inside the house, 1. Center room in the house 0 signal, no 4g no bars. After watching your review yesterday. Took the radio down the road, about 1 mile from home, and it worked just fine. But, I'm in a very rural area too. Thank you for your review. It was very helpful.

My radio has encryption and stuff it’s a police onn walkie talkie radio for mission critical stuff but nonetheless it’s a good police lmr radios for police use are u a cop because I’m a cop for my own agency :)
