Y'know, there are simple things people can do to prevent their houses from catching fire and burning down. Remember that one house in the 2023 Hawaii fires that survived unscathed? 1. Don't use tar-based or wooden roof tiles! 2. Have stored water available in tanks or a pool. 3. Set up a simple irrigation system powered by an independent diesel motor pump 4. Keep vegetation 10yds clear of the house 5. Use non flammable exterior cladding 6. Keep gutters clear Just common sense things in a fire prone area

Not everyone in Palisades is wealthy, but many are wealthy enough to rebuild in what is now low-fuel area. Those kinds of Pacific Ocean views are not easy to come by. The problem might be for a while a lack of businesses to support a community adequately.
