American? That just lets you know of just how bad the state needs personnel yet refuse to offer jobs to the American people. There would be no need for a guardsman to jump in or an ordinary citizen if only Texas offered jobs to everyone regardless of their gender, race and origin. As Texas struggles to hire new recruits for DPS, other states are giving the opportunity to DACA recipients and these recipients are coming through with their commitment.

My son has been driving an 18 wheeler for years and he said that it's too dangerous speeding or using a phone while driving. He told us all that it might be late before he can reply to our texts or voice messages because he will wait until he stops for his break or a meal to return our messages. He has a dash cam in his truck and has seen some really bad drivers. He said he can't take his eyes off the road for a second, it's too risky. It only takes a split second for something in front of his truck to happen in traffic. I am so glad he's careful and taking his driving seriously. He said these big trucks are a moving danger and have the capability of killing someone if they hit another vehicle. He's RIGHT !

Unfortunately I regularly see flatbeds and other tow drivers zooming around looking at their phones, GPS's anything but the road, change lanes without signalling and generally being a nuisance. Mainly the flatbed drivers that seem to be the real "hot shots" if you'll pardon the pun, I genuinely get nervous when I see them because of how often I've been able to narrowly avoid them. Never fails they always act indiginfied when called out for their behavior too, if it's an emergency use those lights but still be careful I don't wanna be in a situation like this.

Not to keep rambling on per say there was a refinery fire the use foam to smother the fire how ever if the foam gets disturbed like firefighter running thru it to get out of the way the breach’s in the foam will cause flare ups hope this helps you a bit

I was in a multi vehicle accident coming out of Dallas Texas on I-35 at 6:30 pm during rush hour traffic. I was stopped behind a long line of traffic in the far right lane to exit to Arlington when a young woman slammed into the back of my car and pushed my car into the car ahead of me and her car went under a truck. My car was totaled completely. The woman who hit it was going 70 in a 60 zone and was on her phone. She said she didn't see the backed up traffic a head of her. She was in the far left lane and moved across 2 lanes of stopped traffic into the lane I was the last car stopped in. If she had been paying attention to her driving there's no way she couldn't have seen the traffic stopped way ahead of us. That's normal for Dallas that time of day on Fridays. She had an 8 year old child in her front seat who hit her dashboard. The child should not have been in the front seat to begin with, it's against the law in Texas. The young woman in the car in front of mine was planning to be married in 2 weeks. Not happening. The injuries I sustained were life long injuries. My intire spine was torn up. I had a serious concussion and 6 cracked ribs. She shoved the trunk of my car into the back of my seat. My seat belt tightened up so tight I was not able to breath with the cracked ribs. My steering wheel was pressing against my ribs and causing horrible pain. The woman who hit me walked away with barely any scratches. Figures ! But her child wasn't so lucky. Terrible. Careless drivers have injured and killed over 5000 people in the us in a year. You can be going home after work and suddenly your life is changed forever and not in a good way. All because of someone who had no business driving. To make matters worse, the woman who hit me didn't even have auto insurance! I guess her cell phone bill was her priority! I still suffer with severe chronic spinal pain every day. The accident before that one was in my home town of Wichita Falls Texas. A 19 year old guy was playing a very stupid and dangerous game of beat the lights. He admitted to the police that he was going 80 in a 30 trying to catch all the lights on yellow. But he didn't make it. The light at 9th and Broad turned red for him and he couldn't stop and he hit my vehicle right where the drivers door was. I was crossing 9th on a green light when he hit me. He was driving a dodge ram truck with a steel guard rack on the front bumper. For 2 years I couldn't walk good because my leg would give away and I would fall down. I fell down my basement stairs twice. Until I had surgery. 7 more people hit my cars while they were on their cell phones. I didn't even own a cell phone yet. People please DON'T use your phone while driving. It only takes a split second for something bad to happen ! Ask all the people who hit me ! If you kill someone with your vehicle in an accident you caused, it's an automatic prison sentence for vehicular manslaughter! Do you think it is worth that risk ? I don't.

This is one reason I HATE when a big truck or SUV is in front of my on the highway. I like to keep an eye on things at least a quarter to half mile ahead of where I am so I a plan accordingly if needed. Being stuck at the end of a backup always gives me anxiety about someone not paying attention behind me.

Although people don't give class 8 trucks any respect, distance or enough room to stop at times for this accident if traffic was slowing and this truck slammed into the back it means he most likely wasn't paying attention or driving too fast for road conditions to stop. He wasn't cut off. Unfortunately it was most likely trucks fault. Prayers to all involved.

I wonder if the tow truck was out on a call and the driver was checking his gps for a location. Just speculation. I see delivery drivers doing that frequently. In any case, a tragedy.

The tow truck driver will likely be charged with numerous attempted vehicle manslaughter changes. As well as being charged with vehicle manslaughter, since a driver died at the scene.

Probably need to require 2 employees staffing a big truck like that, one to drive and the other handles call information and navigation. I gotta think the driver was distracted while approaching the stopped traffic, possibly trying to figure out where he needs to go by text or GPS.

Be sure to call Pantusa Towing out of El Paso and ask them why the driver of truck 24 (Antonio Zubia) caused this accident, and whether the rest of their drivers will be endangering the lives of other citizens on the roads. Also ask them how much they're gonna pay to help rebuild the lives of all of those impacted due to the carelessness of their operator, whom according to the excerpt from their website below, has almost 30 years of experience, which definitely doesn't show here. "Antonio “Tony” Zubia is a heavy wrecker supervisor. Even though he has only been with the Pantusa team for eight months (As of June 2022), Tony brings 28 years of heavy-duty driving and recovery experience to the company. "

It’s called an accident for a reason and as tragic as it is it is extremely unlikely this man caused this wreck on purpose. We live in a world where people can’t wait to hang someone for their mistake but then when they mess up they beg for mercy. Wake up people. We all make mistakes. This man will also be devastated and his life won’t ever be the same either. If it were you that caused an accident you would be hoping for others to have some mercy on you.

Just remember what you said here when you inevitably break down in your ford. Don't call a tow truck ever again. ask yourself what you could have done better to avoid breaking down.
@tiredoldmechanic1791
@tiredoldmechanic1791 Жыл бұрын
@@Redeemed-10 The term accident is thrown around much too loosely. The driver certainly didn't intend for this to happen. There are often unintended consequences for bad decisions. If you are driving a vehicle that takes more distance to stop, you have to maintain more distance. Other drivers will often fill the gap you are trying to leave so you have to slow your speed to where you can stop in less distance. A tractor trailer combination weighing 80,000 pounds with all brakes functioning as required will take over 200 feet longer to stop than most cars when going 70 mph. That's with both vehicles braking at the same instant. Reaction time has to be added.
