Onshape Angstrem collaboration

The teachers of our lyceum developed a training course for 3D modeling in Onshape. The course is organized in a way, so that children 12-14 years of age are able to master basic skills within 10 lessons.
Currently, our students in 6-10 grades are successfully using Onshape in their interdisciplinary projects. Children perform research projects that combine biology, physics, history, and geography and illustrate their work with 3D models created in Onshape.
They collaborate in teams and organize research work. Each team creates a website where the results of their group research are published.
An important component of each such project is 3D modelling work done in Onshape. Due to its cloud nature, Onshape has minimal technical requirements for the software and hardware. It also makes it easy to organize online collaboration, and, very importantly, help us monitor the activity of each participant.
It’s a real opportunity for our students to learn to team up in mixed-age groups with their peers and adult professionals. It is very important that for them it is a real serious teamwork.
This academic year, we have 12 groups totaling 160 students who took part in the project.
