The challenger was definitely worth the wait. I love this board the speed and stability is insane. Having a tail for manuals and small kerb bumbs are awesome. The cloud wheels get me over pretty much any terrain and I live in Scotland. Its pretty rough

Hey Stuart, thanks for your feedback! I'm glad that you enjoy your Challenger! Cheers mate!!

I pre ordered the direct drive challenger last week. Kind wish I had held of now for the belt drive. Still excited for the arrival tho.
@itsmatt36273 жыл бұрын
Belt drive version will be out in few weeks, but don't worry DD is pretty powerful too. If you don't have that much hills where you live, you will definitely enjoy as much as the belt drive (and will be so silent)

The fish eye filming makes me sea sick. Nice board. I am getting the revel kit with a hammerhead 80s skate deck.

Thanks for a great review! I'm still debating on direct drive vs belt. I'm leaning towards belt drive for the torque and acceleration, but my main worry is about how much it effects the kicktail usage and wheel bite. How did you find carving and using the kicktail with the belt drive vs direct drive?

Hi Matt, loving your videos! This made me want to get a challenger but I am having a hard time picking the DD vs. belt version. I hope you can help since it seems Onsra support is taking quite a bit to get back with messages. - What is the range difference between the boards? - How is the free rolling on the belt version? I want to kick push on some instances Thanks for your help!
@itsmatt36273 жыл бұрын
Hey Alvin, thanks for your support!! There isn't much difference between the 2 versions when it comes to range. You'll get similar values. The most important is if you want a silent board or not, if you want a board with more juice or not. Imo, I'll recommend the belt drive version for the Challenger caus' it's more playful. With the kicktail and the extra torque that you can have with the 45T pulley, it's definitely a great combo! For the free rolling, I'll say it's an electric skateboard, means better not to push with your feet aha. You'll feel some resistance no matter what, but the DD will have more free rolling imo! Hope that will help you, you can reach me on my IG if you have more questions : matthew_dlsto

Does it still work if you don't have the controller

I'm trying to do a priority preoder for the challenger through OnsraCalifornia, but none of the discount codes are working.

@pfarticus, you can order on rideonsra.com, shipping takes 10-15 business days once shipped to be delivered in the USA. You'll get your board earlier! ;)

I'm confused, is this strictly a direct-drive esk8 now? The website only shows that version, unlike this belt-driven one...
@itsmatt36273 жыл бұрын
Hey Jaimes, the belt drive version for the Challenger will be out very soon on every website. Both versions will be available ;)
@esk8jaimes3 жыл бұрын
@@itsmatt3627 Awesome, you should do a video on that, there's definitely an audience strictly into in belt-driven boards over direct-drive/hubs.

12s2p 50e? Thats a max discharge of like 25 amps... Is that right?
@itsmatt36273 жыл бұрын
Hey Evwan, with the 12s2p 50E battery, you have 20A of continuous discharge and 30A of peak discharge yes! It doesn't seem a lot, but trust me the acceleration with the belt drive surprised me!

03:55 You used to ride? OR you are used to riding the 120 Clouds?
@itsmatt36273 жыл бұрын
I used to ride the 120 Clouds (only swear by this set before), but now that I have the 105, I won't ride again with the 120mm. With the 105mm, same comfort, better range, and you're closer to the ground, means better stability!

I review riding with the seller of the boards do not seem very honest and unbiased.

Thanks for your comment. Well it is, it's my honest feeling and feedback on that board. I get your point tough!
