I kitbashed a warband of Inheritors from a combination of Reaper Bones minis (the softer plastic was easy to work with), Stargrave, Frostgrave, Wargames Atlantic, and a few GW bits from my Sisters of Battle box sets (gotta love those Repentia chainswords). Most of the Reaper Bones minis I got for free over all the years I've been ordering from the company, but a few I purchased just for the conversions. I used a few minis without kitbashing them at all... like two knights with swords and shields as Zealots, another knight with a flag as a Herald, and a monk in robs carrying a thick tome as a Chronicle. But kitbashing my warband... as well as several Horrors and their minions... has been some of the best parts of the game for me. Just seeing what you can make from various bits and pieces is just a nice creative exercise. And honestly for the factions you don't even have to do a ton. Sometimes just replacing a sword with a gun, or a normal arm with a mechanical one, works well enough. But The Doomed is definitely a game that gives you permission to do as much, or as little, creatively as you want. It really feels like a game that you can make your own.
