Although not required by law in Canada, they strongly encourage a home inspection to be completed prior to a purchase. These problems would have definitely been caught at least the structural. It also would have given them protections against some future problems. It doesn't matter how new a property is. Always have a home inspection done prior to closing .It's clearly a builder issue. Take your story to the local media . They have to fix it . Also, the previous owners owners are liable for not disclosing.

Something is not passing the sniff test. New build house should still be under warranty. If Tarion is not helping them, something is wrong. There must be more to this story. Tarion is not-for-profit consumer protection organization established by the Ontario government to administer the province's new home warranty program.

Didn’t the previous owner sold the property deceitfully knowing full well that there were structural problems with the problem. I'm having difficulty believing it's true, I'm not saying it doesn't happen. If someone buys a house in Canada especially gets a mortgage from a bank it is mandatory to get a house inspection by an approved home inspection before the bank will approve a loan. As for the filming of the damage, why have you not filmed the couple in the house showing you around. It's kind of suspect. Now noticing the title in another of your episodes. "30,000 migrants ordered deported from Canada" . Not true at all.

There is two inspections one by the appraiser and the other by the buyer. They had a false sense of security that the house was a year old it's new so nothing major could be wrong but if you don't know to buy anything that has sealing on the bricks you will think okay they put the repairs in. This is terrible no one should have to go through this
